Hibou Cottage is a charming three bedroomed gite, located on the edge of a small sleepy village in rural France.
Set on 7 acres of land, it boasts an enclosed swimming pool area, tennis court, and gamesroom with pool table, air hockey, table tennis, and children’s play area. Facilities are shared between another on-site cottage.
Hibou cottage sleeps 6 and provides ample and comfortable living space with a fully-fitted kitchen, a spacious, comfortable lounge/dining room. On the first floor there are 2 large double bedrooms with king size beds, and a single bunk bedroom. There is a shower room and bath room.
Outside is a private garden with table, chairs and bbq for outside dining.
Hibou Cottage is great for those who enjoy the peace and quiet of the open countryside, plenty of wildlife from wild flowers growing in hedgerows to soaring birds of prey and if you're lucky you may even see deer in the fields.

Nearby, nestled on the banks of the River Mayenne is the beautiful, floral town of Chateau Gontier. A bustling market town which offers many cafes, restaurants and shops. The 100km of tow paths from Daon to Mayenne town are ideal for cycling, walking, horse riding, fishing and watersports.
A lovely day out spent at Le Swin Golf at Meslay, which is around 20 minutes away. You can take a leisurely stroll along the lake or through the village. Picnic around the lake while the children play on the beach, or hire a pedal boat, canoe or bicycle. If you like to fish the lake covers 11 hectares, but you will need a licence which is available on the internet.

Beautiful outdoor art garden
Fantastic day out at Chateau Gontier's very own animal refuge for sick injured or ill-treated animals. This fabulous charity takes in many species of animals from exotic and wild animals from zoos, laboratories or circuses, or seized by the authorities: lions, tigers, wolves, bears, monkeys, reptiles, exotic birds. There is also a menagerie of goats, sheep, cows, ponies, horses, and donkeys, geese ... to local wildlife animals found sick or wounded by motorists or pedestrians: hawks, falcons, owls, and herons.
Golfers will be blown away with this stunning golf club, which is known as the Pays de la Loire’s “most beautiful” course. Only a 30 minute drive to a course of the highest quality!
Not forgetting the kids, take a 40 minute drive to Terra Botanica, a weird and wonderful theme park that will arouse your senses. Further afield, a 1hr 40 minutes’ drive and you will find Puy du Fou. Here you can travel back to medieval times with chariot races, jousting tournaments by the knights of the round table, swashbuckling musketeers and magnificent firework displays.
