Out of season, when school holidays are over, Les Gages is a tranquil and pleasant place to stay. Visitors of all ages welcome the quiet and the beauty, especially the crystal clear skies at night (no light pollution here!) to star gaze.
Manicure and pedicure, as well as other beauty treatments, are available "on site" form a visiting beautician. Appointments can be made at reasonably short notice.
As pet lovers ourselves, we welcome pets with well behaved owners.
Our local vets, most of whom speak English, are very understanding and pleasant for that all important return inspection of your pet.
After working and living overseas from 1969 to 1998, Graham, a Telecomms Engineer and Janice, in PR, decided that retirement at 55 was not for us. Both with family backgrounds in hospitality, we set off in 2000 for France with two cars, two dogs, two cats, a parrot - and a dream. When we saw Les Gages we fell in love with it. Some trials and tribulations later, we have turned it from the proverbial pig's ear we found into the silk purse we dreamed of.

|Why this location?||We love the Mayenne - rural France at its best, very much like Devon was 40 years ago. Les Gages is not too far from the Normandy Channel ports, an ideal holiday spot for families with young children, and those who do not wish to travel too far to experience and enjoy France. Just a couple of hours driving from a channel port will give you the taste of French rural life at its best !|
|Unique benefits of property||Nestling in the rolling rural bliss of Mayenne, the 5 acres of Les Gages has many secluded areas in which parents can relax and unwind, while their children play in the fields, the heated swimming pool, on the trampolines and in the gamesroom, knowing that they are enjoying themselves and are totally secure. At Les Gages there is something for everyone in the family to enjoy.|
Those listed are just some of the many attractions in the area. The area is steeped in Anglo-French history, from the times of William Le Conquerant, the Plantaganets, the 100 Years War through to the Normandy landings of WWII.
