We had a lovely stay at La Petit Cachette. The property was spotlessly clean and well equipped. It is located in a quiet village in beautiful countryside. There was plenty of information in the property but the owners were really helpful and provided us with recommendations for vineyards to visit. Saumur with all the sparking wine Caves was great and nearby Tours was a good day out and really easy to get to from the park and ride. The Chateaux in the area are also well worth a visit. There is so much to see and do in the area. We will definitely return to La Petit Cachette.
Superbly equipped gite with lovely private garden. Perfectly situated to visit vineyards, chateaux and more. All the amenities that you have at home but in an idyllic location.
We came down from Paris which was an hour on the train and we could visit lots of historic sites near by. It was superb for cycling with lots of designated routes and also close to the the river.
I particularly liked visiting the Chateau at Le Lude which is still lived in by the family and the gardens are gorgeous.
The perfect escape! we will be back :)
Lovely cottage in a lovely setting. No free wifi and we found it very difficult to get a signal at times.
Vaas is a lovely little town with everything you need, only a 15 minute walk along the main road. Everyone should go to Hotel Verdequais in Vaas for a meal. We paid 33 Euros each for the 5 course meal with 2 glasses of wine. The food is amazing. Ask for the menu in English if you can't speak French. There are so many places to visit in the surounding area.
The garden is a lovely place just to sit and relax in when you're not visiting all the towns and chateaus.
Really enjoyed our stay at La petit cachette . A very pretty gite equipt with everything . Very clean and modern .
Andrew the owner was very helpful recommending places to visit .
There is so much to see and do locally and the wine region is excellent.
We would highly recommend a stay here .
