I moved to France with my husband and 3 young children in 2000. We had to adapt quickly to the French life style after the purchase of our farm in 2001, this was the beginning of our 'French adventure'! We now farm our 900 acre organic farm with our youngest son, his sisters have chosen their careers in marketing and teaching. The help of our son on the farm gave me the opportunity to diversify into tourism, something that I had wanted to do for many years. It is my dream come true!

|Why this location?||When I first saw La Lucaziere it was love at first sight, despite the work to be done!
|Unique benefits of property||La Lucaziere is set in a very quiet rural setting, yet the village with its bar, shop and boulangerie is only 1.5km away. We are surrounded by our own woodland and grass valleys, so it is no surprise to look out of the window and see a deer happily grazing on the lawn. We love our guests to feel at home and to explore our property, and the surrounding area is also very scenic. The forest of Sille-le-Guillaume is only 5km away, and with its lake and amenities it is very popular with families. Spend a day at the lake or pop down there in the evening for a meal, it is only 5 minutes by car or a bit longer for the brave families that prefer to cycle there! We are also lucky to have the well known Alpes Mancelles on our doorstop, the perfect location for walking and kayaking.
Failing that why not just relax around the pool at la Lucaziere!
You really can do as much or as little as you want here.
I recommend a visit to the fortified village of Saint Suzanne, it is classed as one of France's most beautiful villages and has panoramic views. There are some interesting caves nearby too.
Les Alpes Mancelles are perfect for activities such as walking, mountain biking, zip wire in the trees, kayak, escalade, or just a good meal in one of the restaurants.
If you want to go a bit further Le Mans, famous for it's race track, is only 35 minutes away. In the summer the cathedral is lit up after night fall and each side of the building depicts a story, you can then follow the lights along the narrow cobbled street of the old part of the town. It is a beautiful 'soirée nocturne'.
Zoo de la Fleche is a perfect day out for families of all ages, the sea lion display is an absolute must!
There are numerous activities in the area, and the Normandy beaches or the art galleries of Honfleur are within driving distance for a day trip out.
Or just relax!!
