Our modern 2 bedroom holiday lodge has a large terrace decking that is partly covered and overlooks the magnificent Lac du Jaunay. The master bedroom has a 5ft double bed and an ensuite shower and toilet. The second bedroom has two 2ft 6in single beds and is adjacent to the family bathroom which has a large shower. The lodge style property meets the highest standards of construction and has a full inventory that will ensure that you have all you need for a holiday to remember.
The lodge has a raised wood terracing so you can make the most of the outdoor area with a patio table, chairs, parasol and sun loungers. The lodge is in a raised, terraced, position looking over the lake to the west. You can watch the sun go down over the lake with a glass of your favourite wine in your hand. Part of the terrace is covered to provide shade and to extend the time you can spend outdoors in the wonderful warm and sunny climate the Vendee has to offer. There is room for car parking at the side of the mobile homes. We do not supply barbecues, however you can hire one from reception for a few euros. Please note that barbecues are not permitted on the decking area for safety reasons.
We supply pillows and quilts; however, you will need to take your own bed linen and towels, including beach towels.
The lodge is not suitable for pets.
Easily accessible from the north-west ferry ports of France and close to airports of Nantes and La Rochelle, our lodge is situated on a quiet part of the campsite away from the bar and pool areas to ensure you and your family get a good nights’ sleep whilst at the same time the facilities are only a short walk away.
There is direct access to the lakeside walks just 25 metres from the lodge. The lake is renowned for its carp fishing and canoes and pedalos can be hired locally. There are several first class golf courses within easy reach (with the nearest being just 15 minutes away and the nearest sandy beaches are just 20 minutes away.
The site has numerous amenities including a large outdoor pool and a new indoor pool complex, mini golf, volleyball, table tennis, petanque and a children’s play areas are all available. There is a comfortable bar and a terrace area where light meals can be ordered. The pizzas are renowned and can be eaten in or taken away.
The kitchen area has a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, grill, 4 ring gas hob, microwave oven, kettle, toaster and quality fixtures and fitting to meet all your needs. The dining area has a table and 4 comfortable chairs. In addition, you can dine outside under cover or under the stars on separate teak patio furniture.
The living room, which has direct views over the lake, is well equipped with a large 4-seat settee, an armchair and an upholstered footstool/pouffe. There is a 42" television with an integrated dvd player. There is a Freeview satellite tv receiver and a splitter to send the satellite signals to the televisions in the 2 bedrooms. The lounge area has twin opening patio doors on to the decking areas.
The master bedroom has a 5ft double bed and good wardrobe and drawer space. In addition, there is a dressing table and stool and there is more storage space under the lift up bed. The 2nd bedroom has two 2ft 6in beds and also has good storage facilities. Tvs are provided in both bedrooms. We do not provide bed linen and towels. Quilts and pillows are provided.
The master bedroom en suite has a shower, wash-hand basin and toilet. The main bathroom which is opposite the second bedroom has a large walk-in shower, wash-hand basin and toilet. Both bathrooms have extractor fans and storage cabinets.
Hot water radiator central heating is provided throughout through a combi boiler.
Evening entertainment in high season, bar, restaurant, take-away facilities, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, children’s play area, table tennis, mini golf, volley ball and petanque pitches.
Canoes and pedallos are available to hire for use on the lake.
Large, raised wooden decking that offers both sun and shade at all times of the day. Covered area that extends the time outdoors to allow al fresco dining into the evening.
Car parking is available alongside the home. There are restricted hours when cars can be driven on site to ensure peace is preserved.
Visitors may have to park cars at the reception area but there is often spare space close to the lodge which can be used with the agreement of the Park Management.
Good House Keeping Bond
If you book our lodge we will require a refundable Good House Keeping Bond of £50 for your stay. At the end of your holiday, we will expect the lodge to be left in a clean, tidy and undamaged condition. If this is the case, the Good House Keeping Bond will be refunded but you will be responsible for any loss or damage that might occur during your stay. The Park Management reserves the right to enter your accommodation under special circumstances or emergencies
Many excellent sandy beaches are within easy reach with the nearest sandy beach being just 8k away. Surfing schools, windsurfing schools, kayaking, sailing are all in the local area
Cycling facilities are excellent with miles of dedicated cycle routes in the local area. The route around Lac du Jaunay is especially suited to mountain bikes
There are excellent courses at Les Fontenelles, La Domangere, Port Bougenay, Golf d’Olonne and St Jean de Monts (a links style course). The first three are part of the Blue-Green Golf Group and discount green fees are often available on their web site.
Puy du Fou is a historical theme park in Les Epesses in the heart of the Vendée region of Western France. It provides a wonderful day out for all the family and is an experience not to be missed on your holiday. Les Sables d’Olonne is an easy drive away and this seaside town is an interesting mix of old and new with a huge harbour. It is the centre of the Vendee Globe yacht racing events. Between here and St Gilles Croix de Ville are miles of sandy beaches together with cycle tracks and walks through pine forests that are all waiting to be explored. There are many restaurants to suit all tastes from very reasonable fixed price menus to a la carte choices. The mussels restaurant in St Gilles boasts 42 varieties.

The accomdation was fantastic, everything we needed was there, very clean and tidy. Only one small negative, We didn't find the owners very friendly.
Excellent accomodation. Nearly new in delightful setting with lake views. Very quiet site which suited us perfectly. Just 10 mins to St Gilles & 1hr 25mins to Pay De Fou ( a must visit).
Good communication with owner & very friendly.
