No 126, which is a modern 2 bedroom holiday lodge, has a large terrace decking that will be partly covered and is in close proximity to the magnificent Lac du Jaunay. The master bedroom has a 5ft double bed and an en suite shower and toilet. The second bedroom has two 3ft single beds and is adjacent to the family bathroom which has a large shower. The lodge style property meets the highest standards of construction and has a full inventory that will ensure that you have all you need for a holiday to remember.
The lodge has a raised resin planked terrace so you can make the most of the outdoor area with a patio table, chairs, parasol and sunloungers. The lodge is in a raised, terraced, position close to the lake. The lodge is in a very sunny and quiet position. You can watch the sun go down with a glass of your favourite wine in your hand. Part of the terrace will be covered to provide shade and to extend the time you can spend outdoors in the wonderful warm and sunny climate the Vendee has to offer. There is room for car parking at the side of the mobile homes. We do not supply a bbq, however you can hire one from reception for a few euros. Please note that bbq's are not permitted on the decking area for safety reasons.
We supply pillows and quilts; however, you will need to take your own bed linen and towels, including beach towels.
The lodge is not suitable for pets.
Easily accessible from the north-west ferry ports of France and close to the airports of Nantes and La Rochelle, our lodge is situated on a quiet part of the campsite away from the bar and pool areas to ensure you and your family get a good nights’ sleep whilst at the same time the facilities are only a short walk away.
There is direct access to the lakeside walks just 30 metres from the lodge. The lake is renowned for its carp fishing and canoes and pedalos can be hired locally. There are several first class golf courses within easy reach (with the nearest being just 15 minutes away) and the nearest sandy beaches are just 20 minutes away.
The site has numerous amenities including a large outdoor pool with a new slide facility and a new indoor pool complex; mini golf, volleyball, table tennis, petanque and a children’s play areas are all available. There is a comfortable bar and a terrace area where light meals can be ordered. The pizzas are renowned and can be eaten in or taken away.
The kitchen area has a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, grill, 4 ring gas hob, microwave oven, kettle, toaster and quality fixtures and fittings to meet all your needs. The dining area has a table and 4 comfortable chairs. In addition, you can dine outside under cover or under the stars on separate patio furniture.
Please note that we do not provide tea towels or napkins.
The very comfortable living room, is well equipped with a large 4-seat settee, an armchair and an occasional table. There is a 43" television with a separate integrated dvd player. There is a Freeview satellite tv receiver and a splitter to send the satellite signals to the television in the master bedroom. There is a wall mounted flame effect electric fire with an inbuilt fan heater for local heating in the early and late season. The lounge area has twin opening patio doors on to the decking areas. This patio door has a sliding mesh door to keep any unwanted insects at bay.
The master bedroom has a 5ft double bed with a luxury topper and has good wardrobe and drawer space. In addition, there are bedside cabinets and bedside lights. There is more storage space under the bed. The bedroom and the en suite bathroom windows are both fitted with roller mesh fly screens for added comfort and ventilation. The master bedroom has a fitted 32" television with an integrated dvd player. The 2nd bedroom has two 3 ft beds and also has good storage facilities. The 2nd bedroom also has fitted fly screens.
We do not provide bed linen, bath mats and towels. Quilts, blankets and pillows are provided.
The master bedroom has an en suite shower, wash-hand basin and toilet. The main bathroom which is between the two bedrooms for comfort and quietness, has a large walk-in shower, wash-hand basin and toilet. Both bathrooms have extractor fans, heated towel rails and storage cabinets.
Hot water radiator central heating is provided throughout through a combi boiler.
Two gas cylinders are located close to the home and will be replaced, as required, by the Park Management.
The Park Management provides late afternoon and evening entertainment in the high season. There is a bar and restaurant with takeaway facilities. There is both an outdoor pool with large water slides and a heated indoor swimming pools. There are also a children’s play area, table tennis tables, mini golf, volley ball and petanque pitches.
Canoes and pedallos are available to hire for use on the lake.
There is a large, raised decking area that offers both sun and shade at all times of the day. The covered patio area extends the time outdoors to allow al-fresco dining into the evening.
Car parking is available alongside the home. There are restricted hours overnight when cars cannot be driven on site to ensure that peace and quiet is preserved.
At these times, cars have to be parked in the car park outside the main gate.
Visitors may have to park cars at the reception area but there is spare off-road space close to the lodge which can be used with the agreement of the Park Management.
Good House Keeping Bond
If you book our lodge we will require a refundable Good House Keeping Bond of £50 for your stay. At the end of your holiday, we will expect the lodge to be left in a clean, tidy and undamaged condition. If this is the case, the Good House Keeping Bond will be refunded but you will be responsible for any loss or damage that might occur during your stay. The Park Management reserves the right to access all the homes on the site for security and safety reasons.
Many excellent sandy beaches are within easy reach with the nearest sandy beach being just 8k away. Surfing schools, windsurfing schools, kayaking, sailing are all in the local area
Cycling facilities are excellent with miles of dedicated cycle routes in the local area. The route around Lac du Jaunay is especially suited to mountain bikes
There are excellent courses at Les Fontenelles, La Domangere, Port Bougenay, Golf d’Olonne and St Jean de Monts (a links style course). The first three are part of the Blue-Green Golf Group and discount green fees are often available on their web site.
Puy du Fou is a historical theme park in Les Epesses in the heart of the Vendée region of Western France. It provides a wonderful day out for all the family and is an experience not to be missed on your holiday. Les Sables d’Olonne is an easy drive away and this seaside town is an interesting mix of old and new with a huge harbour. It is the centre of the Vendee Globe yacht racing events. Between here and St Gilles Croix de Ville are miles of sandy beaches together with cycle tracks and walks through pine forests that are all waiting to be explored. There are many restaurants to suit all tastes from very reasonable fixed price menus to a la carte choices. The mussels restaurant in St Gilles boasts 42 varieties.
Everything was perfect, as it has been in the past. Bertrand and Anne were very friendly. Nice bar area and the meals we had there were good. The accommodation was very nice. It would be helpful if there was information about local amenities and markets. If we ate returning next year, we would choose number 118 as it has lovely views
