Go karting at La Jonchere - great fun for all ages and less than 5 minutes drive from the villa
The beaches here are some of the cleanest on the Atlantic coast and regularly receive blue flag status. They are ideal for children as they are gently sloping with protected waters. La Tranche is a mecca for water sports with wind-surfing, sailing etc on offer. The shops, restaurants and cafes are all close to the beach.
Just behind the beach - this is the Vendees largest zoo.

New water park opened in June 2016 and only a 5 minute drive from La Jonchere. The best water park in the Vendee and great fun for all the family.
Multi award winning mediaeval theme park
Our family had an excellent week at Le Pavillion. with the swimming pool, pool table, table tennis plus the wifi our boys (15 & 17) were more than happy.
Local amenities are a little lacking but nothing is far to drive. The Indian Forest Adventure centre is 15 minutes drive and definitely worth a visit and the beaches are great.
all in all a great week and we will be recommending to our friends
Le Pavillion was in a lovely little French Village well away from the hardened tourist areas but close enough to enjoy all those facilities. The house was a lovely size for the 5 of us and was generally clean but needed a good dust in less used areas, and there were lots of cobwebs between the beams in the ceiling. The kitchen would benefit from a larger fridge, we did take advantage of those lovely French markets with their fresh meat, fish and vegetables. The outside was beautifully secluded and there was plenty of space but the garden needed some TLC, there were lots of weeds in the patio area and the hedges were overgrown, the lawn was cut during our 2 week stay. The pool though was lovely, especially as it was heated, it was our main criteria on choosing the property.
Thank you for your feedback on your stay and we have noted your comments. We are sorry that the garden was in need of some TLC and we are in the process of hiring a new gardener for next year as our current one has had some family problems in the UK this year and not been as attentive as usual! We will also pass on your comments re the cobwebs to our cleaners.
On a positive note we are glad you enjoyed our lovely heated pool and the secluded outside area.
