Lovely day out in Les Sables D'Olonne, really amazing place.
Fantastic holiday house we were really happy with it. Very spacious and clean with new fittings and fixtures. Welcome from representatives when we arrived was lovely and owner provided generous welcome pack. Outside space great had many barbecues in the warm evenings. Rock pool beach close by good for finding crabs and many really amazing sandy beaches within short drive such as Les Conches and Le Rocher great for body boarding. Lots to see and do nearby such as adventure parks and a zoo. Town and port area within walking distance ate at some very good restaurants in the port area such as Le Kimana. We've holidayed in the Vendee a few times and found Jard Beach House to be a wonderful place to stay would recommend to book early as the dates get full quickly. House lived up to all expectations/reviews made our holiday that little bit extra special.
This house is well equipped with a choice of outdoor seating areas. The barbecue is also conveniently situated .We took bikes to cycle in the forest and appreciated the bike stands in front of the garage. The house is in a quiet area and about a 20 minute walk into town or the harbour. There is a pebbly beach about 5 minutes walk away which is a good place to see the sunset from.We had a lovely welcome from Rosemarie and James and it was good to be able to contact them when we had a power cut. They were very re assuring. We have stayed in Jard 6 times before but not in this house. The other properties did not ask for a security deposit so I was a bit dubious about that. However, we did get the full amount back by 2 weeks after the date we left Jard, as promised on the contract.I think not being able to get in until 4pm is a bit late.Again other properties are 2 or 3 pm.
I probably would stay here again if all the family was coming with us , despite it being further out than the other properties I have used.
Thank you for taking the time to review Jard Beach House. We really appreciate the comments as it can help us if need be to improve what we offer for future guests. The 4pm arrival is unavoidable sometimes. Rosemarie works as hard and as fast as possible without dropping any standards to enable the house to be perfect both inside and out for arriving guests. The security deposit is a security against potential intentional damage and breakages that may occur during a visit, but to date after two years of guests, we have happily not had any at all. Thank you again for choosing Jard Beach House for your accommodation and we look forward to welcoming you in the future.
Lovely house in a peaceful area. Nice stroll through woods to port 15-20 mins about same to town. Great garden for a barbecue or just lazing around. Would definitely recommend this property.
Thank you for your kind comments. Glad you enjoyed your stay, thanks again for choosing Jard Beach House.
Most definitely the best accommodation we have stayed in during many holidays in France. The location was ideal being away from a busy village but close enough to walk into it for essentials. The nearest beach is approximately 300 Mtrs away although we preferred Les Rochester beach a short 5 minute drive away. The house satisfied the needs of all of the party whose ages ranged from 2 to 56. The house is well appointed and tactfully furnished, all though the Internet TV is a bit of a faff and may be a challenge for technophobes. Would gladly go back and would definitely take or hire bikes as this is the best way to get around the immediate area.
Thank you for your generous review for the house. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. As this has been the first year of holiday rentals, we did not know how well the house would suit, but so far it has gone exceptionally well. Please do bear us in mind for any future holidays ! Thanks again for the great review :)
