L'Etoile de Mer is a recently constructed, detached 5 bedroomed house with its own heated swimming pool. It is ideally located between town and beach with both being within walking distance or a short drive.
Situated on the exclusive 'Parc des Quichenottes' in the hamlet of La Terriere, it is surrounded by other villas on substantial sized plots. It is a particularly quiet area with views to the forest and attractive walks virtually on the doorstep.
The house has been designed to maximise the south facing plot and has a large shaded porch as well as ample sunbathing terraces around the heated pool. The pool is fenced from the house in accordance with French regulations. The rear garden is sandy and wooded and is very private. Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor and one has an en suite with level access shower which is particularly suitable for people with limited mobility. There is parking for 3 or 4 cars in the driveway and a large garage.
The town of La Tranche-sur-Mer has a wide range of facilities including; shops, restaurants, bars and supermarket and can be reached by foot or by a short car drive or cycle journey. The hamlet also has a restaurant, bar and bakery within a few minutes walk. The nearest beach is a short walk through the pine forest or on the dedicated cycle track. It is a vast tract of sand offering facilities for surfing and body boarding and rarely gets crowded. There is a dedicated area up the coast for naturism. In the town itself there are other beaches which are more sheltered and at low tide, have access to lovely rock pools.
The area is a cyclist's heaven. There are dedicated cycle tracks throughout the town and along the coast in both directions. Guests are welcome to use our family's bikes which are left in the garage.

Separate living area with 2 sofas and 3 armchairs providing comfortable seating for 8 with additional bean bags. Flat screen television with UK and French channels and dvd player. Large selection of books and some dvds. French windows to pool area.
Two bedrooms on ground floor both with french windows and direct access to pool area. One has an en suite and is suitable for limited mobility.
Three more bedrooms upstairs; one master bedroom with en suite, one twin room and one quadruple room with one set of bunks intended for children's use. All bedrooms have views to the pool area. Bedlinen is provided.
Two en suites with shower, wc and handbasin. One family bathroom with full size bath and shower over, wc and handbasin. Outside wc with handbasin and adjoining shower. Towels are provided.
Electric panel heaters.
Television, dvd player, boardgames, books and table tennis table.
Front and rear wooded gardens with sandy play areas. Upper and lower sunbathing terraces. Large covered porch area for outside dining including table for 12 people. Gas barbecue.
Large garage and parking for 3 or 4 cars on the driveway. The owner's bikes (up to eight) are available for guest use, at their own risk.
Suitable for all ages including older people with limited mobility. Very suitable for two families sharing or extended family groups.
