We are Jane & Jeremy and we live in the UK. We bought this lovely villa back in 2015 and we hope to retire here in a few year's time. In the meantime, we have decided to rent it out for the summer months, and we have asked Annette Khan to manage the reservations for us.

|Why this location?||Port Bourgenay is a lovely seaside town with a fantastic beach and lots of cafés and restaurants within a 5 minute drive. The area has lots of cycle paths, a couple of golf courses, an Aquarium and a lake with pedaloes! We enjoy the outdoor lifestyle, so being able to walk or cycle along the coast is great, and the nearby town of Talmont has lots of fêtes and festivals throughout the summer months - there is even a medieval castle with jousting and bird of prey shows!|
|Unique benefits of property||We bought this villa so that we could enjoy the French Lifestyle - lots of alfresco dining, swimming in the pool and lounging around the large garden getting a good suntan! The house is large enough to bring lots of family - with four good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms - it never feels cramped! We also added all of the home comforts - Wi-fi, UK satellite tv channels, table tennis and a fully equipped kitchen! We love visiting our French house and eventually we are aiming to retire out here!|
The villa is located less than 5km from the coast - where you will find the lovely sandy Veillon Plage/beach. There is a lagoon, rock pools, sand dunes and lifeguards on duty throughout the summer. The waves are great for surfing and bodyboarding, and there are a couple of cafés/restaurants at the beach.
There is also a marina with a few restaurants around the edge - selling locally caught seafood, pizzas, grills and tapas. You can even hire a boat for the day and go sea fishing and catch your own supper!
Every Wednesday evening in summer there is a craft market at the harbour and throughout the summer, the nearby town of Talmont St Hilaire holds festivals and medieval re-enactments in the ruined castle!
This is one of the largest seaside towns in the Vendée and offers a great range of attractions throughout the year. In summer you have the 5 mile stretch of beach to explore, or the promenade to walk along; in Autume the Vendée Globe Yacht Race starts here (every 4 years - 2016, 2020 etc..)
The bustling harbour is full of restaurants catering for all tastes - seafood, pasta, burgers, Nouvelle Cuisine, and lots more. A great place for a Sunday lunch!
The town centre is pedestrianized and has an impressive Market Hall - selling locally grown produce, spices, meats, cheeses and seafood - with oysters and mussels a speciality.
This Park only opened at the end of June 2016 and attracted over 190,000 people in its first season! It's a great place to spend the whole day - with lots to entertain children and adults of all ages. There is a water play area for younger children, lots of slides and rivers and a lake area with wave machine and a beach!
Book in advance to avoid the queues!
