About this property

A Mobile Home Close to Many Blue Flag Sandy Beaches. This mobile home is in a coastal setting.

Our 2 bed Willerby mobile home is situated at Les Amiaux which is a large family friendly site within easy reach of fantastic. safe blue flag beaches.
Our home is well equipped to accommodate 4 people comfortably, with the opportunity to create an extra double bed in the lounge if required.
The home is situated on a good sized plot near the top of a small quiet cul de sac, yet within easy reach of all of the amenities that the site has to offer.
There are hedges around the plot offering privacy.
The home has a grassed area for safe play and sunbathing on the sun loungers as well as a paved area and barbecue for al fresco eating.
It is positioned next to our 3 bed home therefore giving you the opportunity to holiday with the extended family or friends.

Kitchen and dining

There is a galley kitchen which is well stocked with crockery etc to cater for up to 6 people.
There is a full sized oven with 4 burners, a fridge freezer and microwave. As we use it as our family holiday home there are many "added extras" available to use. We have provide a reasonable amount of space for you to store your foodstuffs etc in the kitchen area.

The dining area is in the lounge and there is bench seating for 5 people and a stool.

Living rooms

There is a comfortable lounge area in the home with a gas fire. There is a tv with English channels and a dvd player. We also provide a small radio/cd player.
We also have a selection of games, dvds and books for you to use.

The bench seats can be moved to provide an extra double bed if required.


There are 2 bedrooms.
The master bedroom has a double bed with wardrobe and cupboards above the bed for storage.
There is a twin bedded room which has a single wardrobe an drawer unit for storage.
It is possible to push the two single beds together to provide a second double bed if required.
A camp cot is available in the home on request.

We provide all quilts and pillows, but you must provide your own quilt covers, sheets and pillowcases as well as towels and tea towels.
There is a linen hire service available through the on site hosts but you will need to book this through me at the time of booking your holiday as it is a limited service.


There is one bathroom with a shower, hand basin and toilet.

We are situated quite near to a well fitted shower block which you may choose to use. There is a baby bathing area in this block as well.


There is a gas fire in the lounge and a portable oil filled radiator if required.
We also provide an electric fan for the super hot days!


The site offers numerous activities to suit all ages.
There is a large indoor swimming pool, with a toddler pool as well as a flume area. This area has plentiful supply of chairs and sunbeds for your use.
There is an open air swimming pool alongside a children's splash pool.
You can play football, tennis, table tennis, basketball and boules or visit the new indoor gym.
Small children can play in the small playgrounds and sand pits dotted around the site.
There is also a daily kid's club for the under 5's.

There is a bar and restaurant offering a takeaway facility and throughout the high season there is a programme of events held here. The bar has outdoor seating as well as indoor and a pool table.

Garden and outside

On the plot there is a grassed area for the children to play on or for using the sun loungers. There is also a paved area and barbecue for alfresco eating.

There is a gazebo available if shade is required
In the black box on the patio there is a selection of beach toys and an inflatable paddling pool for your use.

Parking and garages

There is space for one car on the plot but there is additional, safe parking near reception if required.

Cars are not allowed onto the site between 11pm and 7 am so you would need to park in the additional parking area at the front of the site if you arrived back to site after 11.
This ensures that the site is quiet and safe at night.

Visitor suitability

Les Amiaux is an ideal site for people of all ages and varied interests.

There are ample facilities for families with young children or teenagers both at Les Amiaux and in the surrounding area.

It is equally suited to couples wanting to have a restful holiday exploring the area by car, on foot or bicycle. there are numerous walking and cycling trails in the immediate area as well as other easily reached areas.
Unfortunately the home may not be suitable for disabled visitors due to the steps for access to the home and the restricted areas inside the home.

Information about any additional facilities

We have a friendly couple who are on site hosts throughout the season. They will be there to welcome you to the home and assist with any queries you may have during your stay. They will also check the home at the end of your holiday to ensure that it is left in a clean condition ready for the next visitors. We provide cleaning equipment and a vacuum cleaner so would ask that you leave the home as you found it.
Wifi is available in the home and at the bar area. You will need to register at reception and pay the weekly/daily tariff.
The cost of gas, electricity and water is included in the rental as is the use of the facilities on the site,
It is possible to hire a high chair but you will need to book this with me before your holiday.
We have a selection of bikes in the home for you to use but we must stress these are to be used at your own risk. There is a good cycle hire service on the site.
For extra security there is a vehicle registration recognition system at the barrier

I am a retired teacher, living in Oxfordshire with my husband, a retired college lecturer and plumber. We have 2 grown up children. When they were younger we spent many happy holidays camping in France, especially enjoying the gorgeous beaches in the Vendée. We decide to buy two mobile homes adjacent to one another at Les Amiaux, which is a very family friendly site. We spend as much time as we can on the site taking many holidays at the homes with our friends and family members.

Why this location? The Vendée is easily accessed from the ferry ports Saint Malo ( approx.3 hours), Caen ( approx.4 hours) and Cherbourg ( approx. 5 hours). There are excellent road networks and it is only an hours drive from Nantes airport. Once at the site you are assured of a great holiday close to fantastic beaches as well as interesting towns and villages offering markets and family activities There are many supermarkets and restaurants within easy access. The site is a family friendly site with amenities to suit all age groups.
The area is conducive to walking and cycling and there are many interesting places to visit only a short drive away. Saint Jean de Monts is a wonderful resort with a fantastic beach and promenade and free parking. There is a weekly market and a regular night market. Also a vast choice of restaurants.
Unique benefits of property Our mobile homes are positioned at the top of a small cul de sac but within easy access of all the amenities which the site has to offer. The good sized plots are hedged to give privacy and there is parking for one car at each mobile home. There is a grassed area for sun loungers and for young children to play, as well as a paved area with a table and seating for 6 as well as a barbecue. A gazebo is available if needed to offer shade. As we use the home for our own family holidays we maintain it in good condition. Each home is comfortable and well equipped with many "added extras" included. A full inventory is available on request.
As the two homes that we own are adjacent to one another it gives the opportunity for two families to be accommodated close to one another. Also as our mobile homes are the only permanent homes in the cul de sac there is a cosmopolitan feel during the high season, with visitors from many countries moving onto the other plots.

Places to visit in the area

Saint Jean de Monts and Notre Dame de Monts are the nearest towns offering beautiful beaches, bustling weekly markets, cycling and walking routes and a wide range of restaurants. The Bistro on the beach at Notre Dame de Monts is well worth a visit. There is a sailing centre, Thalassotherapy pool and a number of horse riding centres also sited in Saint Jean de Monts.
Ille de Noirmoutier is approximately 20 kms away. It can be reached by a road bridge or a more exciting route is via La Gois. or causeway at low tide when you can join the locals and other visitors cockle picking.( tide times are available at reception or in the tourist information office in Saint Jean de Monts.) There is also an aquarium on the island and lots of safe cycle routes as well as a lovely historic town to wander around.
Pornic is well worth a visit for lovely walks and interesting buildings including a chateau.
Les Sable d'Olonne offers a beach, interesting harbour and lovely eateries as well as a super zoo.
In August Challans holds historic markets with the locals dressing in historical costume. ( details from reception).
