The Southern Vendée is famous for its long sandy beaches. There are beaches to suit all visitors - those with big waves for surfers - at Les Conches and La Terrière; those with rock pools for the children to explore - Jard and St Vincent; those for sand castles and miles of unspoilt sand dunes - La Faute sur Mer and Le Phare. For beaches with entertainment nearby - there is La Tranche sur Mer and Les Sables d'Olonne. All beaches have lifeguards in summer, most have cafés and toilet facilities. A great place for the whole family to enjoy.
