About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Karen Taylor

I've been living in the Vendée for the past 6 years, teaching English on a part-time basis, then early in 2017 I decided to offer self-catering holiday accommodation in a newly refurbished bungalow close to the coast.

As a dog owner myself, I am keen to encourage visitors to holiday with their pets, especially as many of the local beaches are dog-friendly.

Although I don't live on the premises, I'm always at the gite to greet guests, and am available when they depart.

Year property purchased 2017
Why this location? The Vendée is an ideal destination for those looking for a holiday close to the coast. There are miles of unspoilt sandy beaches to choose from, many supervised during the high summer.

There are also a huge number of activities and tourist attractions to enjoy, some of which remain open during the spring and autumn months.

Saint Michel is ideally placed for the holiday-maker who wants the best of both worlds - close to the coast, yet in a rural location. The town itself has all the amenities that you may require, including a supermarket, bar/restaurants, bakeries and a weekly produce market.

With regard to transport links, it's just 45 mins to La Rochelle airport, and a 3.5 hour drive to the nearest sea port at St Malo.
Unique benefits of property Gite du Moulin is a newly-refurbished bungalow located in a quiet cul-de-sac near the centre of town. It's set in its own private, sunny garden which is fully enclosed, so is ideal for both young children and for dogs.

There is also a large covered terrace with bbq, perfect for relaxing, dining and socialising.

Secure parking is available for 2 cars on the gravel driveway.

The bungalow itself is light, bright and welcoming. The kitchen has recently been updated and is now fully equipped. The lounge is a cosy room both in the summer and in the winter, and has an electric log-effect fire for chilly evenings. The double bedroom leads into the bunk bedroom where both bunks are big enough to sleep a teenager or even an adult.
