Getting here is easy with flights to Carcassonne or Toulouse. The motorway & TGV are also easy options with access at Castelnaudary about 30minutes away. The Canal du Midi and Tour de France routes are very closeby - in fact the Tour de France is having a stage in Foix on Bastille day 14th July 2017 so worth a visit just for that!

Perfect location. We were close to many interesting sites and amenities while still in a country, peaceful setting. Local paths to explore, many with lovely views of the Pyranees. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The gite was clean and well appointed, with all one could need for an extended stay. We definitely would recommend this property to friends who want to explore an interesting part of France. Overall we loved it !!!

This is an ideal property. The living and sleeping areas are very spacious and immaculate. The extra amenities are a bonus; such as the downstairs utility with ample storage space and there is covered parking, keeping the car cool.
The grounds are beautiful and the countryside is all around. Mirepoix is about three miles away and is a lovely village with lots of cafés, good restaurants and a supermarket. Carcassonne is not far and well worth a visit, as are the local villages.
Julie was a fantastic host and couldn’t have been more helpful. Enjoyed our chats.
We would highly recommend this property.

Owner response

We try to offer the highest standard of comfort after renting many unsatisfactory properties over the years! This was formerly our own home. Thanks for the recommendations.

We had an amazing week at the fabulous Grange de Pierre, close to Mirepoix. The Grange is ideally situated in the most fabulous countryside and is located in the most idyllic grounds which are perfect for exploring and relaxing in, and the pool is luxurious and warm, surrounded by large parasols and comfortable loungers, plusthe covered seating area perfect to escape from the hot sun and enjoy a cool drink and a read, we ate in there most evenings!

the property was beautifully clean, brilliantly equipped and the beds were super comfortable, the showers were luxurious and the open plan living/dining/kitchen area was wnderful for chatting when prepping food, or if the evenings were a bit chilly.

The hosts are an absolute delight too and were very welcoming and a fantastic source of local knowledge.

Everything we could have wished for was provided and we had the best stay!

Already hoping to return next year!
