There are many beautiful medieval villages/towns with easy reach. Montreal, Fourcès, Eauze to name but a few. Lectoure, our nearest town, has a thermal spa, cathedral, museum and a great Friday market as well as some good restaurants.
This part of France is known for good food and particularly for duck - in all it's forms! We provide a list of recommended local restaurants and vineyards for wine-tasting.
The markets are very colourful and full of locally produced fresh food that tastes like food should and at very reasonable prices.
There are 3 spa towns in the Gers, Barbotan les Thermes, Castera-Verdauzan and Lectoure which is just 15 mins from Rasterac. You can book all sorts of treatments or simply enjoy an hour or 2 using the pool, hammam, sauna etc.
There is an acqua park in Condom (15kms) and most villages/towns in the area have swimming lakes. Gondrin is a highlight (about 40mins from Rasterac) where there are all sorts of water thrills.
Rasterac is close to the Lectoure to Condom section of the St Jacques de Compostella camino as well as the Coeur de Gascogne route. We provide walking maps and guides.
