We came to the Gers in 2012 to enjoy our retirement. We love the area, the rolling countryside often reminds us of Devon, where we lived and worked for most of our lives. We now live a short distance away where we are renovating an old farmhouse. This means we can be on hand if needed but you have sole and private use of the property. We want our property to exceed your expectations so we keep it in pristine condition and furnish it with things that we would want to find on holiday.

|Why this location?||We bought our villa so that we could holiday in the lovely Gers countryside and enjoy the numerous pretty towns and villages of the area. We like the quiet rural feel of the Gers. We enjoy a walk to the village, the local countryside, including nearby cool bathing lakes with beaches and restaurant facilities, eating a French lunch outside in the warm sunshine and the local markets with the freshest of fruit and vegetables. There seems to be something for everyone here. There is a swimming lake with beach in Aignan, along with a large forest tree top rope course for adventurous children. Close by are many of the principle towns of the area and you can enjoy their busy summer schedules, Nogaro and its race track, Eauze, Vic Fezensac (Tempo Latino), Marciac and its Jazz Festival. Pretty fortified villages are everywhere, visit Larressingle (the little Carcassonne), see the round centered Fources, the Chateau at Lavardens or climb the tower at Bassoues just to name a few.|
|Unique benefits of property||The outstanding features of this property are it's situation and fabulous views. The villa is in a quiet country lane and is joined by only a few other houses. The south facing sun soaked terrace is the best room in the house where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the Pyrenees, while you dine or relax in the hot tub with a glass of excellent local but inexpensive wine, (try a visit to the cave, just a 5 minute stroll away to buy your local wine). Enjoy the sun all day, the fabulous sunsets and the crowded night skies. The inside of the house is bright, clean, modern and airy with good quality fixtures and fittings. For colder evenings there is a wood burner and electric heating in each of the bathrooms and bedrooms. The house will be freshly decorated/upgraded for the 2018 season and new photos will be posted at the end of March.|
