The shortness of our stay has not diminished the pleasure of being at Lassénat once again. As our visits move into the double figures, we marvel at and enjoy the many improvements made over the years by Hélène & Giuseppe whose welcome remains as “chaleureux” as ever. Un grand merci – We will be back !

At the end of our seventh stay in Athos, it is difficult to find new superlatives to describe our experience. We return for the peace & quiet, in a beautiful, well maintained setting, not to mention the most friendly & hospitable hosts, and we are never disappointed. The ongoing improvements to the gîte have been much appreciated – love the new decking ! What more is there to say except merci mille fois Hélène & Giuseppe, et à la prochaine.
Brenda & John July 2019

There is not enough pages in this book, to thank both Hélène & Giuseppe for the wonderful hosting they provided in my stay here. They are the most down to earth people, who maintain the gites & property with love and care. Hélène & Giuseppe are knowledgeable, friendly & very , very helpful& understanding. They give you the freedom to do your own things but are close at hand, should you need anything. I’m not sorry to say, but in my time here, I have come to regard them as family. I have no hesitation in returning to Lassénat St Georges when I am next in the area. Love to you both, hopefully see you soon xx ohh don’t forget the kitty cats from Raphael. Xx Chrissy April 2019

About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Hélène Gentile

I am French and my husband Giuseppe was born in the UK but of Italian descent (as you can guess from the name). After 30 years in England in a busy town (working at the airport and teaching French) we decided to relocate in the South_West of France where life is quieter, no flight paths and we both enjoy the garden, the weather...and the food.

Year property purchased 2012
Why this location? The Gers is relatively new on the tourist map being France’s “empty quarter” which is under populated and unspoilt. Farming, wine and Armagnac making are the main industries, the country roads are deserted (four cars constitutes a traffic jam!) and in the small villages it seems as if time has stood still. The freshest air blows gently through the fields of vines and sunflowers, which surround usso what else could we ask for ?
Unique benefits of property Set in the heart of the Gers the most picturesque region in South West France, which is also known as Gascony, Lassénat St Georges has four superb self-catering gites for 2- 14 people. Situated in a converted barn, the gites have been completely refurbished to the highest standard. Our 5 acres are surrounded by fields of vines, colourful sun flowers, may types of birds.

The Owner Recommends

Local markets and events

In the Summer, the Gers is buzzing with regular weekly local markets (Eauze- Vic Fézensac- Condom - Auch) and special summer night markets with local produce.

The Tempo Latino in Vic Fezensac (Latino Music Festival) at the end of July.
and of course the World famous August JAZZ FESTIVAL at Marciac
