We have enjoyed our stay in D’Artagnan whilst we were looking for our property in Le Gers. Hélène & Giuseppe have been so helpful with their knowledge of what we needed to start our new life in France; they are friendly, nothing is enough trouble. A little piece of calm in a very busy world. Thank you. Janette & Dave - Uk - April 2019

It was wonderful being back at Lassénat again ! Only 5 days this time ! But it still feels like home - with ma famille française, Hélène & Giuseppe. Thank you for your superb hospitality and most of all, your friendship. I've stayed in Porthos and D'Artagnan. Next visits, I'll try out Athos and Aramis ! Bises. Candy Sat, 14 Apr 2018 - USA -

What a beautiful place. Lovely grounds with gorgeous plants including tarragon, rosemary, mint which we enjoyed picking and adding to our food. Best of all - la piscine ! Merci beaucoup !

Charles & Tom Sat, 19 Sep 2015 - UK

A wonderful part of France, unknown by us, friendly welcome by Giuseppe & Hélène. They could not do enough for us. We discovered Lectoure, Le Bleu Pastel, some golf courses and a local farmer shared his home made bio bread with us and his grapejuice. The gîte is very cosy and spacious, has everything one needs. The pool is so pleasant and a big attraction. The weather is superb. Gers is a beautiful region to discover . We shall be back sooner than later. Thank you to you both. xxx Peter & Brigitte Sat, 05 Sep 2015 - UK

Our first visit to South of France and we found the gite d'Artagnan very comfortable, clean and welcoming. The surroundings including the pool & lawn are very well maintained. Hélène and Giuseppe were very friendly and provided us with great suggestions for days out. One week is a short period of time, our kids enjoyed the pool, grounds and the cat. Thank you for the welcome pack which was very helpful on Sunday when all the shops were shut. We will come back down for a longer break: Sue & Peter Fri, 28 Aug 2015 - UK

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful place. The countryside is so beautiful, the food so delightful, the wines delectable. And the Armagnac simply superb. Our host and hostess made us very warmly welcome. If fate allows it, we SHALL be back.

Great accommodation, warm hosts. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. If we are back this way in the future we will definitely stay here. Trev & Chris Fri, 14 Sep 2012 - UK

A rural idyll ! The kids enjoyed the pool everyday with the weather very hot all week. Just the holiday we needed away from it all. If we come back to the South West we would come back to the land of D’Artagnan and of course Lassenat St George(Ps would also recommend to friends and family) Thanks for a great stay. Simon, Clare & Family Sat, 18 Aug 2012 - UK

A perfect two weeks of total relaxation, hospitable hosts & wonderful weather. Even the cats were welcoming ! We wish you all the best with this venture.

About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Hélène Gentile

I am French and my husband Giuseppe was born in the UK but of Italian descent (as you can guess from the name). After 30 years in England in a busy town (working at the airport and teaching French) we decided to relocate in the South_West of France where life is quieter, no flight paths and we both enjoy the garden, the weather...and the food.

Year property purchased 2012
Why this location? The Gers is relatively new on the tourist map being France’s “empty quarter” which is under populated and unspoilt. Farming, wine and Armagnac making are the main industries, the country roads are deserted (four cars constitutes a traffic jam!) and in the small villages it seems as if time has stood still. The freshest air blows gently through the fields of vines and sunflowers, which surround us so what else could we ask for?
Unique benefits of property Set in the heart of the Gers the most picturesque region in South West France, which is also known as Gascony, Lassénat St Georges has four superb self-catering gites for 2- 14 people. Situated in a converted barn, the gites have been completely refurbished to the highest standard. Our 5 acres are surrounded by fields of vines, colourful sun flowers, may types of birds.
