A charming and cosy barn in traditional stone, with private patio and garden for al fresco dining during the long summer evenings. The old stone steps lead you down to the double frenchdoors which take you into a bright open plan living room and well equipped kitchen. There is comfortable seating, a wood burning stove for romantic evenings in, tv, books, games and a delightful outlook onto the pretty garden where you can sit and discuss the adventures of the day.
As the gîte is all one floor another set of double doors takes you into the spacious double bedroom with en suite and traditional French furniture. All linen and towels are provided with basics like tea, coffee and milk for a drink when you arrive. Lockable storage for bikes, skis, golfing equipment etc. Drying room facilities for walking boots, ski and bike wear. The gîte sleeps 2.

Although most of it is on one level, it has 4 steps leading down to it and 2 steps up to the bathroom, so not suitable for wheelchair access.
Well what can we say? This is France and the towns in the area abound with restaurants, great cafés and bars.
Not far from Bagnères-de-Bigorre is an 18 hole golf course with panoramic mountain views.
As well as supermarkets, there are all sorts of speciality shops in Bagnères-de-Bigorre . Or you can go further afield. Pau (60 kilometres away) and Tarbes (17kilometres away) are both excellent places to visit and to shop. And if you're in Bagnères-de-Bigorre on a Saturday you must meander down to the marvellous market. There are also many brocantes and vide greniers (boot sales) to browse and take home some hidden French treasures.
La Mongie (Tourmalet), the largest downhill ski resort in the French Pyrénées is about 30 minutes drive away from Trebons Cross Country Skiing can be found in the area as well. The closest resort is Payolle, where snow-shoe walking is also available. There are many other resorts such as Val d'Azun about 50 minutes drive away. These are also places worth visiting at any time of the year.
Other sporting activities available in the area include paraponting, fishing, horse riding, rock climbing, tennis, white water rafting, canoing, kayaking, walking and hiking.
The nearest town, Bagnères-de-Bigorre is a spa and a visit to the thermal spa with roof top jacuzzis and sun deck is highly recommended.
The Tour de France often passes nearby and two of its most famous climbs are nearby: the Col de Tourmalet and the Col d'Aspen.
