|Michoaut||Self Catering||Saturday||2||4||1||Extra single bed/cot can fit in twin/double room|
Michouat is the name of our property here just outside the village of Vidou, about 2km from the little Gascony Bastide town of Trie-sur-Baïse.
Built in the 1880s, Michouat is a traditional L-shaped Gascony farmhouse, with the family living in one side and the livestock and winter stores in the other.
It remained a working farm until the end of the 1990's when the land was sold off and the barn side of the property was tastefully converted into a Pyrenees holiday gîte.
The Kitchen/Diner includes seating and all modern conveniences to keep a family of 4/5 fed and watered during your stay, including gas cooker/oven, microwave, coffee-machine, kettle, fridge-freezer etc.
In addition there's an iron, ironing board, and a washing line just outside (but there's also a drying rack in the bathroom)!
With its solid oak beams, Michouat's Living Room is warm and cosy.
There are comfy armchairs and a sofa for you and your company to relax in, read a book, watch dvd's (provided) or catch up on your favourite (UK/French) tv programmes and, of course, there's free wi-fi throughout the property.
There's a period woodburning stove to take the edge off any out-of-season evening or early morning chill.
The double room includes a king size double bed. All quality bedding is provided at a fee of 7 euro's per person per week (includes bath towels) payable on arrival.
There is an en suite toilet with sink. The room also includes an electric radiator. A travelcot can also fit this room.
The twin room has two single beds that can be joined together if you wish. All quality bedding is provided at a fee of 7 euro's per person per week (includes bath towels) payable on arrival.
There is an en suite toilet with sink. The room also includes an electric radiator. A travelcot or an additional single bed can also fit this room.
Before going upstairs, the bathroom has a modern shower, sink and toilet.
There is also a washing machine.
In all rooms there are electric radiators as well as a large logburner in the main area downstairs.
Cool off in our fully fenced 10 x 5m pool or sunbathe on one of our comfortable sunloungers by the pool. The pool is cleaned daily. We do have pool rules for the safety of our guests .
Spa/Hot Tub for 6 people:
Our Solana Quattro spa for 6 people - designed and manufactured to offer total comfort to yourself, your friends and family. You can comfortably enjoy the ultimate foot massage with the people who matter most to you! Variable water jets, waterproof Bluetooth music system, what better way to end the day?
We supply pool/spa towels at an additional 5 euro's per person per stay payable on arrival.
Relaxation and games:
In addition to sunbeds, you can forget everything in our rather hedonistic hammock! And for those who still have energy, we have a stock of traditional boardgames and of course our very popular ping-pong table (in the shade of course!)
The outdoor dining:
During the summer, you can enjoy your meals outside on the terrace in the shade of the parasol. It is also ideal for watching the sun set on a beautiful summer day in Gascony which has private fencing.
There is also a bbq for you to have your own bbq's outside
You can also relax under the trees at the additional table and chairs or on the hammock.
There is plenty of space to relax around the pool.
Our garden is open for you to use freely.
There is large private off road parking which is free.
This suits guests who want the best of both worlds... Nice relaxing day by the pool or long walks up the mountains or even zip wires, caves etc. before you return back to a nice hot tub before striking up the bbq.
You may like a drive to Spain to do some excellent shopping.
In July is the fabulous Marciac jazz festival just 35 minutes away from here... Not to be missed!

This place suits a huge range of guests.
We have been together for 13 years, many of them spent working in professional high pressure environments. When the opportunity arose for a different direction in life, we decided this was the gateway to do what we do best, which is to provide great hospitality, spend the majority of the time living outdoors and to give visitors a fantastic holiday experience, all against the backdrop of a more tranquil way of life, meeting new people and embracing a new culture.
