This charming, beautifully restored stone farmhouse is situated in a small hamlet consisting of a few other properties, and only a short distance from the market town of Montcuq. The garden has lovely views over the surrounding countryside, an ideal area for walking or cycling. The town of Montcuq has a popular Sunday morning market, several restaurants, tennis courts, good local shops and a leisure lake with a man-made beach nearby. Montcuq was a former medieval stronghold, with its castle tower high on a hill dominating over the village. Occupied by English armies in the 100 years war, it is ideally placed for exploring the areas other picturesque villages and medieval bastide towns, the beautiful chateaux and the Cahors vineyards.
The house is comfortably furnished, with 3 bedrooms and 3 shower en suites to sleep up to 6 people. Entry to the house is through a large conservatory, with table and chairs ideal for breakfast time as it has views across the garden and pool. There is a dining room, with a long table and chairs leading into a kitchen area. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is a washing machine in the utility room. On this ground level are 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has twin beds and a shower room en suite with shower, washbasin and wc. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a another shower room en suite. Both bedrooms have doors out to the terrace area.
Stairs lead from the dining area up to a mezzanine, with comfortable chairs and an ideal reading area. There is an office with futon/sofa and it is possible to have internet connection. The beamed sitting room has a large open stone fireplace, with woodburner, a comfortable sofa and chairs, Sat tv ( free view)and a dvd player. Bedroom 3 has a double bed, with shower room en suite and views from the bedroom windows.
Linen is included but please bring your swimming pool towels. There is a telephone for local calls and it may be possible to arrange for internet access if required, but it is advisable to bring your own mobile phones.
There is an extra room to the side of the house which has another fridge-freezer.
Outside the house is surrounded by lawns, hedges and flowering shrubs and a terrace. There is a charcoal bbq. The lovely swimming pool is 10m x 5m with integral steps and can be heated at an extra cost if required. It is surrounded by a paved terrace and has and an automatic electric cover.
The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. There is a washing machine in the utility room.There is a dining room, with a long table and chairs leading into a kitchen area.

Ideal location in comfortable renovated farmhouse, not far from the market town of Montcuq , which during the summer has many festivals. There are shops , bars and restaurants here as well as tennis and a public leisure lake.
There is a bbq and the farmhouse is on the edge of the Cahors wine region, so ideal for al fresco !
