We bought Le Brulat in 2008 as a place for our retirement. It's simply gorgeous here, we love the people, the climate, the food, the scenery and of course, the wine.
|Year property purchased||2000|
|Why this location?||We had holidayed here for 30 years and bought our first house here in 2000, we sold that to buy a larger place to fulfil our dreams.|
|Unique benefits of property||The Gite is totally separate to our house, but close by. We will be on hand should you need anything, but you have your own completely private entrance and your own secluded garden, along with a balcony that overlooks a natural spring.|
Seriously, there is so much to see and do here- lovely markets, beautiful scenery, medieval and bastides villages and towns- gorgeous food and wine along with Chateaux, pre-historic caves, canoeing, walking, horse riding, even hot air ballooning.
The area itself offers endless possibilities for holiday makers. There are the prehistoric caves of Cougnac, Pech Merle and even Lascoux all in easy travelling distance along with medieval bastide towns and chateaux to be explored. The sublime and ancient hillside town Rocamdour is just 40 minutes away and St Cirq La Popaie is 50 minutes south and Cahors about 40 minutes
