This delightful holiday villa is extremely tastefully furnished, has it’s own private infinity swimming pool and is set in acres of parkland. Situated in the Lot department, near the Dordogne River Valley close to the medieval market towns of Sarlat, Gourdon and Souillac. It is within reasonable walking distance of the village of Masclat (1.5km) which has 2 restaurants, small grocers, tennis court and petrol/diesel pump.

The holiday villa offers guests complete privacy with plenty of space over the pretty, enclosed gardens which are surrounded by fields and woods for guests to stroll around and enjoy. There is wildlife in abundance. The private infinity salt water swimming pool has a delightful patio surround and is enclosed with a child proof gate for extra security. Beside the pool is a superb Abri (covered terrace) with a La Plancha electric grill, barbecue, fridge, garden tables and chairs, ideal for al fresco dining. A perfect haven of peace and tranquillity.

In the self-contained totally independent house next door lives the owner who welcomes you on your arrival and has a wealth of local knowledge on restaurants, shopping, things to do, places to visit and is available to help should you need assistance.

Nearby attractions include riding, golf, canoeing, paintball, tree walking, famous chateaux with museums, prehistoric caves, Rocamadour (second most visited site in France), a wealth of history, entertainment and naturistic delights of bird watching, walking in unspoilt countryside with an abundance of wild flowers and rare orchids.

This was our 2nd visit to Pereyroux and it didn't disappoint. The setting is stunning and the accommodation perfectly suited our family from a 5 year old grandson to an active 88 year old! The gite would be suitable for a couple of families as it is very spacious with 3 bathrooms. There were lots of personal touches including wine and nibbles on arrival and recommendations for local events. The "abri" alongside the pool is perfect, lots of pool toys and even a fridge to keep things fresh for our lunch every day. The pool is perfectly clean and well looked after. Tonic, the owner, is about next door but is very discreet, good to know she is on hand for any problems. Because of our previous visit it felt like home straightaway and we look forward to booking again next year. We usually never go back to the same place but this was a request from everyone in the family.
It is at the high end cost wise, it would be great to get discounts if returning! Bit of a treck to the supermarket although the local store in St Julien de Lampon had most essentials. The bakery was fantastic in St Julien although we did panic them ordering 8 croissants, 4 pain au chocolat and 2 baguettes!

We enjoyed a great canoe trip from Vitrac to Beynac and of course the market in Sarlat is fantastic.
