|Why this location?||We chose this village as it has a lovely feeling. It is well kept, has beautiful stone built houses, winding streets and a central village square where all the village events take place. This village also has several shops and two bars and 2 restaurants! We wanted a property that was within walking distance of the village and yet, at the same time, felt very private. Behind the high stone walls we are spoilt with a beautiful pool, private lake and extensive gardens. We even have our own pétanque pitch. We are definitely "living the dream".|
|Unique benefits of property||Our property is unlike many others in that it is extremely private and yet within walking distance of the village. We can wander slowly into the village for a morning coffee and croissant, pedal up for lunch in the restaurant on the square and slowly meander home in the evening after a glass of wine or two!|
Staying in this part of France is like being forced to stay in the food cupboard of a whole country. Not only are you spoilt for choice but everything is fresh and local: from locally grown fresh fruit and vegetables sold in the local markets, the cheese made in small family run farms, the fish that are caught in the rivers and perhaps best of all: the abundance of vineyards where you can buy direct. You really don't need any commercially produced food as it's all here on your doorstep. If you don't want to cook it yourself then go for lunch on the terrace of one of the many fabulous restaurants in the area. Many of them are based in stunning medieval villages where the sun has beaten down for centuries and history whispers it's secrets from the stone walls. If you get fed up of visiting villages then take a canoe down the river, glide underneath the watchful eye of many a chateau or cool down in one of the many caves that are to be found around here. This is one area of France that epitomises your vision of France and you will never be bored!
