My Wife and I retired to France 5 years ago, and began to renovate the entire house, including the attached "Old Bakehouse", in preparation for my son's wedding here. After the wedding we opened the Old Bakehouse as a "Loft/Studio" Bed & Breakfast via Booking.com. Many of our guests asked us why we did not rent out the whole house. We decided to do this in 2019!

|Why this location?||We wanted a rural setting but with close/easy access to local shops, major supermarkets, no more than 15 mins from the A20 motorway and no more than half an hour from an airport and train station serving Paris and London.|
|Unique benefits of property||In our view "La Forge" offers a traditional stone-built Quercy farmhouse, full of character, but renovated and modernised throughout. Few old houses such as ours have such large rooms in both square area and height, and very few have a separate, self-contained loft/studio, with its own UK/French television, where Grandparents or Parents can stay "in their own space". The peaceful and quiet location is one normally only found many miles from a major motorway. We are 15 mins from exit 55 (Souillac) of the A20 motorway, 25 mins from Souillac train station and 30 mins from Brive airport, with trains and flights directly from Paris and London.|
