Both the property and pool are south facing. In the garden you will find plenty of acacia and mulberry trees providing relaxing shady areas where you can sit and watch the countryside.

Lovely house with million dollar view
My six friends and a I spent a beautiful, relaxing week at this property near Lauzerte. Upon arrival there was an incredibly delicious selection of fruit as well as a delectable bottle of local wine. The house is comfortable and functional as well a situated with a stunning "million dollar" view. The pool was well appointed and was a welcome addition to the house during the warm July days. We found the kitchen well stocked with a fantastic oven along with a convenient second kitchen. I recommend this property very highly and my friends and I could not have been more pleased. A special thank you to Alison and Robert for their friendly and genial welcome.

Great location, stunning views August 2018

We booked Blasi for 2 weeks in August 2018 and it was ideal for our group which was extended family for one week and then two families for the second. The property is beautifully situated with great views across the valley, a lovely and secure pool area, and all the space and facilities you need for spending all your time outside. Inside has been thoughtfully converted with 2 kitchens and lounge areas and always feels spacious even for a large group. It is also exceptionally well stocked not only with what is needed such as crockery and linen, but also books, games, childrens toys, MP3 speakers etc. Lauzerte is beautiful and only 10 mins away with a good supermarket and local shops. You have a good choice of larger towns within 30 mins (e.g. Moissac and Cahors) for anything else you could think of, and quick acces to the motoroway network for any longer journeys. There was no shortage of things to do in the local area and Robert and Alison have provided a personalised local guide with recommendations. They also were very helpful with any queries or questions while we were there. An excellent venue for a relaxing and fun family holiday but also as base for day trips to the surrounding towns, with plenty of interest to see. I’m sure we will return again one day soon!

The property far exceeded our expectations in every way, and in fact the photos on the website do not do justice to how beautiful it is. It is incredibly spacious with everything you could possibly imagine provided. The bedrooms were lovely and big, two downstairs with air-conditioning which was a bonus given the hot and sunny weather, although despite the high temperatures the house overall was very cool at all times. The open-plan kitchen / dining / living area was perfect and the overall layout meant that even with a full house you would never feel cramped or on top of each other.

There were ample games, table tennis, television, books and internet (very good signal) on tap so that all age groups are catered for whatever the weather. The owners have put a lot of care and attention into converting this property which is evident throughout. The pool and gardens are beautiful and the views are literally breathtaking, especially from the hammock in the garden! The terrace to the side of the property was perfect as well. We ate outdoors every evening enjoying the countryside views. We have never stayed anywhere before where we start to plan a return trip whilst we are still there. We both loved it so much and did not want our week to end.
We truly loved this magical place and would recommend it very highly. We can't wait to visit again soon.

A most relaxing beautiful place.
Wonderful location. Relaxing days spent exploring the country side and the local historic towns. Swimming and boating in a local lake, all life guarded. Lots of restaurants and facilities nearby. Great cycling countryside and lots of local walks. The private pool was fantastic and many happy afternoons spent there. Lazy evenings watching the sun go down whist sipping a variety of local wines. Looking forward to going back for longer.

September 2014
On arrival we were bowled over by the location of this well appointed and spacious cottage. The photos on the website did not prepare us for the fantastic 360 degree views around the property.. The ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms allowed us to take my parents with us on holiday. With only two internal steps and one step into the shower it meant that there was easy access throughout and the large walk in shower was a real bonus.
The house was very well equipped, very clean and very comfortable and provided us with a cool retreat. It was great to stay somewhere where you didn't want for anything. The farmhouse is set in a glorious location and a really get away from it all experience. We spent most of our time relaxing by the pool or chilling out in the garden. Robert and Alison, the owners, were very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. Which all goes to make Blasi an exceptional holiday. I would recommend it to anyone.

On the ground floor Blasi has a large fully equipped farmhouse kitchen containing 9kg washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee-machine etc with a 6 seater table. The kitchen has a wall mounted hd tv. There is a second kitchen similarly equipped and is often used as the barbecue kitchen.
All cooking utensils for the house and barbecue are provided.

Living rooms

The dramatic vaulted living/dining room has a very large oak table. It has 3 good quality leather sofas and placed around the fireplace, which has a Godin woodburner. The sitting room is air-conditioned and has hd satellite tv, dvd player bluetooth system and internet.

There are 4 bedrooms.
On the ground floor there are 2 double bedrooms, both with large beds. They have ceiling fans and air-conditioning. One of the bedrooms has pretty double Frenchdoors which open on to the garden.
On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms. One twin and one double. All the rooms have fans.

The farmhouse has 2 separate wcs, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs.
Three shower rooms. Two downstairs which are large walk in ones and one upstairs which has a glass screen.

There is a side board packed with puzzles and games on the covered terrace .

Things to Do and Places to Visit

There is a great range of activities to do in the area from sports to gentler pursuits. The countryside is superb for walking, part of the famous pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella passes nearby. Whether you want to do a days walking or take a gentle stroll Blasi is perfectly situated. The gorges of Aveyron at St Antonin de Noble Val are only 40min away. Take a picnic and enjoy the gentle rapids and the long relaxing stretches of the river. Take in all the wildlife and why not go for a swim? There is also a good watersports centre at St Nicholas de la Grave, with canoes, boats and pedalos for hire or why not stroll along the banks of the Tarn and Garonne Rivers and enjoy the diversity of bird and wildlife? Lauzerte has an excellent equestrian centre and nearby there is a 9 hole golf course at Sauveterre, of 5244 metres in a wooded valley with water hazards and it is suitable for players of all standards. Walibi theme park and the Vallee de Loisirs are a must. Markets are every day of the week.

At Blasi, you will be able to enjoy the night sky as it is the darkest in western Europe. August is amazing with its shooting stars. The sky is bright with stars and the Milky Way is easily seen. Wildlife is plentiful and interesting. Red Kites fly over the fields next to the house and over the lake. Black kites, hen harriers and lapwings with their aerobatics are fun to watch and we have an owl which likes to visit us. Buzzards and kestrels are common, often perching on telegraph poles beside the lanes. Closer to earth, wild boar, deer, badgers and hares are often seen nearby in the fields.

It is also exceptionally well stocked not only with what is needed such as crockery and linen, but also books, games, childrens toys, MP3 speakers etc. It should be noted that the 2 downstairs bedrooms have air conditioning, but the 2 upstairs bedrooms do not. We were 2 families sharing the property, so one family was upstairs and one family was downstairs (so we were next to our kids). There were several standing fans upstairs and clear instructions on how to keep the house cool, but it did get very warm upstairs in the evening. It was a very hot week to be fair. The one improvement to the property would be additional aircon units in the upstairs bedrooms. Lauzerte is beautiful and only 10 mins away with a good supermarket and local shops. You have a good choice of larger towns within 30 mins (e.g. Moissac and Cahors) for anything else you could think of, and quick acces to the motorway network for any longer journeys. Robert and Alison were really helpful .It was a great holiday and we hope to return again one day.

9.2 / 10 Grey Family 29 September, 2018

I guess the simplest thing I can say about this property to convey our thoughts on it, are that we're going back again next year for our much-valued family summer holiday. It's a great holiday home.

Details then.

- The view is spectacular and it's really relaxing sitting on either of the two patios, looking out across expansive and peaceful French countryside with a glass of wine.
- The pool is all on one level and a very good size for swimming and general larking about. We were lucky with the weather so the pool temperature was great, despite it not being heated (very few are), though I gather the owners are intending to install a pool heater, which is great for cooler days.
- There's loads of space for children to run around and there are plenty of games and activities dotted around, both inside and out
- There are two kitchens, which came in more handy than I thought it would
- The internet was really reliable
- It was very clean everywhere
- Robert and Alison were great to deal with and very nice to meet in person

The following are things I want to mention as feedback, since this is a review and it would be boring if everything was perfect; however I'm being extremely picky really:

- A coffee machine would be great! There might be one that I never found...
- The pool filter could maybe run for the whole day?

Hydra the dog was a frequent and friendly visitor, who the kids loved. Lauzerte and the surrounding area is lovely. Thoroughly recommended.

Owner response

Hello Robert, we are so happy that you had a lovely holiday. In answer to your feedback, we do have two types of coffee makers, both cafetières and percolators. We'll make sure that both are left out for you, they may have been in the pantry.

We filter the pool about 18 hours a day. A large part of this is during the night as this is the most efficient time to ensure that the water stays crystal clear. We will be installing a pool heater in the spring, ready for next summer.

We look forward to seeing you and your family again next year

A lovely house in a wonderful setting. Very quiet and peaceful. The owners could not have been more helpful. We would certainly recommend this property.

10 / 10 Williams Holiday at Blasi 14 September, 2017

As a large family with young children and grandparents, we couldn't have been happier with our stay at Blasi. The villa was stunning, pool perfect especially for our 5 and 8 year old, and the views breath taking. The owners were really attentive from the moment of booking, answering all our queries and they really have equipped the villa with everything needed to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible, lovely touches were the table tennis table, boule and various games, books/guide books and DVD's. There was also every kitchen appliance you could want to make cooking easy and we enjoyed the welcoming bottle of red wine. The living space was perfect for a large group - lots of room indoors and outdoors for everyone to find some peace and quiet - we loved the hammock! The villa is really in the heart of beautiful farmland so a car is a must for local amenities, there are some lovely villages, swimming pools and big lake with a beach to visit and food shops / pharmacy was only a 15mins drive away. Only an hours drive from Toulouse airport we found it really accessible. We'd really recommend this villa to any family looking for lots of space, a good pool and a relaxing break in a beautiful setting.
