September 2016
A lovely old property tastefully renovated with all the facilities needed for a home from home. Situated in a beautiful and very peaceful area with outstanding vistas. The house was very clean and tidy. The swimming pool was well maintained, clean and very welcome!
Highly recommended.

Although we only stayed for a short break, we instantly fell in love with the location and facilities. The house itself is spacious, homely, comfortable and very well appointed with everything you could ever want on holiday. The bedrooms were clean and brimming with character, as were bathrooms and cloakrooms. A well appointed kitchen, with all mod-cons and every utensil I have ever come across ( and some new ones) all make for a wonderful experience. Outside the shaded patio, gorgeous pool, stunning views and the silence make this an idyllic place to unwind and relax with family or friends. Robert and Alison could not do enough to make us feel welcome and at home.
Locally we really enjoyed Lauzerte, which is about 10 mins drive, with its narrow streets and lovely square; every corner presented a new surprise, view or cafe and I expected Belle from Disney's 'Beauty and the Beast' to start signing from an upstairs window at any moment. The entire area was peaceful and relaxing and staying here was central to the relaxation. I cannot recommend this farmhouse highly enough to anyone who wants to get away from it all in a house full of quality, charm and comfort.

We spent a lovely few days in September with our this spacious gite set amidst the most beautiful countryside. As we were two couples we wanted enough space not to get on top of each other, but we needn't have worried as this gite is extremely spacious and very comfortable. We visited the nearby towns and villages, in particular Cahors on market day, which was a bonus. Returning to the gite and using the swimming pool late in the afternoon was a regular occurrence and finishing the day off with a glass of wine/beer under the terrace after a barbeque was unforgettable

Tuesday: Caylus, Montech, Negrepelisse, Valence d’Agen. Wednesday: Lauzerte, Lafrancaise, Moissac, Montauban. Thursday: Castelsarrasin, Monclar de Quercy. Friday: Lavit de lomagne, Molieres. 'Things to Do and Places to Visit' There is a great range of activities to do in the area from sports to gentler pursuits. The countryside is superb for walking, part of the famous pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella passes nearby. Whether you want to do a days walking or take a gentle stroll Blasi is perfectly situated. The gorges of Aveyron at St Antonin de Noble Val are only 40min away. Take a picnic and enjoy the gentle rapids and the long relaxing stretches of the river. Take in all the wildlife and why not go for a swim? There is also a good watersports centre at St Nicholas de la Grave, with canoes, boats and pedalos for hire or why not stroll along the banks of the Tarn and Garonne Rivers and enjoy the diversity of bird and wildlife? Lauzerte has an excellent equestrian centre and nearby there is a 9 hole golf course at Sauveterre, of 5244 metres in a wooded valley with water hazards and it is suitable for players of all standards. Walibi theme park and the Vallee de Loisirs are a must. Markets are every day of the week. 'Wildlife' At Blasi, you will be able to enjoy the night sky as it is the darkest in western Europe. August is amazing with its shooting stars. The sky is bright with stars and the Milky Way is easily seen. Wildlife is plentiful and interesting. Red Kites fly over the fields next to the house and over the lake. Black kites, hen harriers and lapwings with their aerobatics are fun to watch and we have an owl which likes to visit us. Buzzards and kestrels are common, often

The house (Blasi) and setting were beautiful and perfect - exactly as described and what we needed. Our hosts - Robert and Alison -were wonderful and very attentive to our needs from the time we booked the house to now that we have returned home. As we arrived, they welcomed us to the house and gave us a tour. They also had prepared a folder of what sites to visit, recommended restaurants, daily markets, etc. This was very helpful to us as we were not familiar with the region. They later even provided us with another list separated by distance from the house. We saw beautiful sites and enjoyed great meals. The close proximity to Lauzerte (15 mn) was perfect - not only for shopping for food, pastries, beverages, but also for very good restaurants, and enjoying an afternoon cocktail in the square of the medieval town. Fresh linens and towels were provided weekly. Robert and Alison even went out of their way to help us solve a problem with our car. We have rented homes in the past in Costa Rica and Spain and although we enjoyed ourselves there as well, we have to say that our experience at Blasi has surpassed all others.

Just as important as our hosts' attention to our comfort was the fact that now we feel that we have made new friends - they are both very easy to talk to and are caring people. We very highly recommend this house and our hosts - we are certain that no one will leave disappointed. This vacation was made very special by Robert and Alison. Tx you!

We stayed in this property for two weeks at the end of May. We were a group of 4 (two couples), all in our thirties. We were a little worried we would have perhaps expected too much, but Blasi more than lived up to the pics!

The house is in a beautiful setting, surrounded by rolling fields and wooded areas. There are a couple of houses close by but shielded enough that it feels very private. One of the neighbours dogs came to visit us most days, she was very friendly and docile so this was fine for us.

The house itself is great - lots of space so that the 4 of us never felt crowded, cosy enough that we could all hang out together in comfort. It is extremely well equipped, particularly the kitchens - there are actually two, we mostly used the main one (open plan to the living room), but were able to find a number of useful things in the second.
The two downstairs bedrooms are lovely. One is a fair bit bigger than the other but both are a decent size. Myself and my 6' 5" partner stayed in the smaller and were very comfortable.
The shower rooms are also very nice, with great water pressure. We also really liked that the toilets are adjacent to but separate from the shower rooms.

The terrace was fantastic, we had almost all of our meals out there, and spent most evenings relaxing out there with some beers or wine. The pool was also great, very well maintained.

The nearest town is a drive away, so a car is essential.

We loved it and would definitely return!

We are very fortunate to have spent the winter here. The house has everything you could wish for and more. It is extremely well equipped, we like to cook and found every utensil we needed. There is a wood burnier in the sitting room which kept us cosy and warm, the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, in fact, I think we hit the jackpot! Alison and Robert could not have been more thoughtful or helpful.

The surrounding area is spectacular in winter and beautiful in spring and summer. We seemed to have Lauzerte to ourselves in January, February and March but it is coming to life now and there are several restaurants and bars all which look very inviting. The local supermarket is wonderful, they have a fresh fish counter and the butchery and charcuterie are very tempting. There are of course lots of lovely bakeries, we have probably tried them all, unfortunately for our waistlines.

There are lots of interesting villages within a short drive and Moissac, Montauban, Agen, Cahors and Toulouse are all easily accessible and all worth visiting. That is of course if you get tired of relaxing by the pool enjoying the majestic views. Obviously we would highly recommend this property.
