La Baysse a large 18th century stone farmhouse with 3 holiday houses (gites) accommodating up to 14 persons collectively in spacious surroundings. Each house has 2 double bedrooms with large en suite facilities in each.

Nestling in 3.5 acres of attractive gardens, parks and nature fields, home to golden orioles, woodpeckers, goldfinches, hoopoes, falcons, buzzards, hares, red squirrels, friendly lizards, toads and many butterflies. We do not take pets!
Created and renovated from "The Old Stables" and Farmhouse, these houses enjoy a sunny south facing position with absorbing views of our 5 majestic plane trees in one direction and to the colourful garden, superb pool area and fields in the other.
All the houses are fully insulated for sound, coolness in summer and warmth in winter (electric heating). An acoustic floor separates the ground and first floors for quietness.
The exterior of each is divided by colourful ironwork and potted shrubs, denoting your own private area within the spacious courtyard! You also have 3.5 acres of secluded garden, to walk with hideaways and shady places for your privacy.

If stairs are a problem for you, this House (Lauragais) is on ground level. There is a small step of 7 inches on entry and a 2 inch step in the hallway.

The "Goat Farm" is a wonderful place to visit. Meet the baby goats and buy the delicious "fromage". You will never forget this place with the" Kids".
A beautiful lake. Set in the Black Mountains with beaches set amongst pine trees and wooded areas. Sailing, fishing, windsurfing, swimming, walking, horse riding, picnics, plus a fabulous upside down waterfall! Plenty to do and see. Approx 2 days of discovery 8 mins from us.
Home of the world famous pink garlic and onions. Visit the Festival of Garlic in August, the soup is a must! They also hold a Fête du Pain a week later. A very pretty village, stunning scenery! which is overlooked by a lovely restored windmill up on the hill. AquaVal, a lovely/safe open air waterpark complex (we love it) sits just outside of "Lautrec."

Even John Burton-Race visited when filming "French Leave" only 5 mins from us. Also the home of marquetry and furniture production. Visit the workshops and the bronze foundry. "Chocolate" shops to die for and superb pastries.
A medieval village of beautiful winding streets,stone & timbered houses a sheer delight to visit & wander around in which is 3 minutes away, it has all necessities, boulangerie and numerous shops, banks, PO, Chemist, also a good supermarket-fuel, restaurants, bars, Fridays! open market, "Abbaye-Ecole" has numerous festivals, in July (dog fair) August (horse fair - stunning!) and a monthly book fair on the 1st Sunday of each month (v good) which can be enjoyed.The "Military School "is a must see place, A very good Tourist Office adjacent the old walls, opposite a large free car park, also the starting place for the many "Rambling Routes".
