About this property

Spacious Three Bedroom Gite Full Of Character. This cottage/gite is in a rural setting.

Coquelicot is our second gite on site and is arranged over three floors.
At ground level you enter via the private patio - into a large kitchen diner - off the corridor there is a shower room with wc and next to this a cool twin bedroom.
On the second floor you have the family sitting room with satellite UK tv.
This can be accessed by the ground floor stairs or by an external staircase and balcony.
Also on the second floor is a spacious double bedroom with space for a cot or small child's bed.
Up onto the third level you have a lovely big master bedroom up in the eves and a relaxing bathroom with roll top bath.



Kitchen and dining

The kitchen is on the ground floor as you enter the property. It is a good sized kitchen and fully fitted with lots of pots pans and utensils making self catering an easy option. There is a gas hob a large fridge freezer an electric oven, microwave and the all important dishwasher. There is a good sized oak dining table with 6 chairs if you wish to eat inside rather than on the patio.

Living rooms

The living room is on the second floor and has a large corner sofa and individual chair.
The tv is satelite and can have french or Uk tv.
There is also a dvd player.


The first floor bedroom is a snug twin room and is next to the shower room and wc. It is ideal for an older relative who may find stairs challenging or for teenagers.

The second bedroom is a spacious double with room for a cot if necessary. It is situated just off the sitting room.

The final bedroom is the master bedroom up in the eves - it is a large bedroom and can easily take a travel cot if necessary. It is on the same level as the bathroom.


The shower room and wc is based on the ground floor and there is a bathroom and wc on the top floor.


All rooms are provided with plug in electric heaters during the outer season and there is a log burning stove in the living room.


There are books and dvds available as well as some English parlor games.

Garden and outside

The gardens and grounds and pool areas are shared with our other two gites.
There is a games store with table tennis, table football, badminton net/rackets and boules equipment.
We have an on site laundry with two washing machines and a tumble drier and a recycling area.

Parking and garages

We have a car park just off site as we like to keep the courtyard car free for the safety of all our guests.
Clients can drive in to unload and are then requested to park in the car park provided.

Visitor suitability

The property has steep stairs which make it a bit difficult for those with mobility issues.
We do provide stair gates for the safety of toddlers.
Height is restricted on the entrance to the master bedroom but has plenty of height once you are in the room.

Andy and I moved to France 14 years ago and bought a rundown farm complex which we have lovingly restored and have been running as a gite complex for 12 years. We have two daughters currently at University in Nottingham UK and a really friendly dog loved by all called Fidget.

Why this location? We wanted to be in true rural France in an area that experiences all of the seasons not just all year round heat. Set in a french farming area with lots of history and cultural experiences it fits the bill perfectly.
Unique benefits of property We have the benefit of being in a quiet relaxed hamlet with great views whilst being only minutes from the RN88 which whisks you north to the Tarn and South to the Aveyron.
