The monastery of Mont St Michel is the second most visited tourist attraction in France after the Eiffel Tower. It is set on a hill on an estuary on the border of Normandy and Brittany. It is a 90 minute drive from Les Glycines but well worth a visit.
Visit the famous tapestry and cathedral in this busy tourst town. Plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy.
Lovely house in lovely setting. It was great to have an open fire as it got cold at night. Pool and tennis court fantastic. Chairs in the main living room could be improved on. We would stay again.
This was the second trip back to this cottage, which hopefully describes it all.
With a swimming pool as well as a tennis court included, we can relax as well as use the cottage as a base to explore all the history and culture of the area.
The cottage is well equipped but don't expect too much in the way of internet and television. For me, I think this is a plus, as its exactly what I want to get away from. If you want internet, its not difficult these days to arrange your own
The cottage is easy to get to from Cherbourg, with a 1ht 20 minute drive.
The owners have been extremely helpful, with help and advice on both trips. Nothing was too much trouble.
Superb cottage with fantastic grounds, pool and tennis court. A real treat for all the family in a friendly village surrounded by beautiful countryside and a great and historic coast.
This is an excellent property both inside and out. The pool, tennis court, petanque area and the large garden with plenty of shade for those who need it (like me) are all great. The house itself is clean, spacious and well equipped.
It is a two min walk to a small supermarket and there is a larger one 3mins away by car. 5mins away on foot is a boulangerie that sells the best pains au chocolat ever!
D day beaches half an hour away, Mont St Michel a little further, Bayeux 25mins - so well situated.
