Splendid isolation with breathtaking views towards Caen and the Normandy coast. Private one acre garden for sole use. Three miles from the bustling market town of St Pierre sur Dives with it's ancient Abbey and market hall, shops, restaurants, bars, supermarket, cinema and swimming pool.
 
Les Aunaies stands in a courtyard setting overlooking a sweeping valley to the front and nestled in front of woods to the rear, offering total seclusion. Dating from the 17th century, the main farmhouse is full of original features and age old oak beams.

Walk up into the woods and paths around Les Aunaies that offer mile after mile of walking and cycling. Don't forget to pack your binoculars, 26 different species of birds have been spotted at Les Aunaies, many of them birds of prey that circle overhead.  We even have our own resident barn owls!

The D-day landing beaches, Bayeux with its famous tapestry, Falaise, the bithplace of William the Conqueror, Caen with his 2 fabulous Abbeys, Deauville, Trouville, Honfleur and Lisieux are all within easy reach of Les Aunaies. There are many Chateaux and Museums and world famous stud farms to visit, why not follow the 40km cider route with visits to farms and cellars along the way or the similar cheese route taking in some of the beautiful towns and villages such as Camembert and Livarot.
 
Children and adults alike will love Deval Park, 8 minutes away with it's 'Cresta Run', crazy golf, horse riding and various fun rides. Kayaking on the river Dives is a popular pastime, you can hire canoes and row to the beautiful chateau of Vendeuvre. A mini van will drive you back.
Go-karting, just outside St Pierre sur Dives, is another popular sport. A fishing licence is cheap and easy to obtain for fishing on the riverbanks.
 
Glorious golden sandy beaches are approximately 40 minutes away at Houlgate and Caubourg. Deuville is approx one hour and beautiful Honfleur just over one hour.

Chateau Vendeuvre, just a few miles from Les Aunaies with it's beautiful gardens. Chateau Canon, lovely gardens hosting concerts and "son et lumiere's" during the summer. Chateau St Germain de Livet, moated chateau, wonderful interiors and elegant salon de the.

D-Day Landing Beaches

Easily accessible from Les Aunaies. I would recommend visiting the Commonwealth section, Gold, Sword and Juno beaches as well as Pegasus Bridge on one day and the American section, Omaha Beach and the breathtaking cemetery and Visitor's Centre, Utah Beach and St Mere Eglise on another day.

Deauville

Elegant town on the coast where Parisians spend their weekends. Beautiful shops and a great beach. Two wonderful horse racing courses, a great day out for the family with activities for the children and restaurants and bars. There is a 3 Euro entrance fee for adults and free for children under 18.

Haras du Pin

Second largest stud farm in France. Guided tours and exhibitions every week. There are numerous stud farms in this part of Normandy and the Agha Khan has 2 in the area.

Honfleur

Beautiful harbour with restaurants and bars, art galleries and shops and 1 hour's drive from Les Aunaies.

Paris

1 hour 40 minutes from Lisieux station.
