Located close to the centre of one of Normandy’s picturesque harbour towns, and adjacent to an impressive golf course, Maison du Golf provides an ideal base from which to explore this historic part of Northern France. Comfortably furnished and boasting a decked patio area and garden, La Maison du Golf provides accommodation for up to 8 guests. Port-en-Bessin’s fishing tradition is reflected in the range of quality seafood outlets to be found in the town. Nearby Bayeux is internationally known as home to the famous Bayeux Tapestry, a must-see for visitors to the region. Normandy’s more recent history can be encountered at the D-day landing beaches of nearby Omaha and Arromanches, and their museums which recount the Allied invasion of June 1944. We both work full time but enjoy going over to the house in France. We have always loved going to Normandy as it has so many places of interest. We walk and cycle in the local area and enjoy the local restaurants.

|Why this location?||So much to see and do. We like the history, architecture and beautiful countryside but also miles of sandy beaches. Fantastic cycle routes on quiet country roads and walking distance to the harbour for hot chocolate/coffee's and wonderful beers.|
|Unique benefits of property||Very modern in a great location and quick and easy drive from the ferry ports.|
There are many restaurants and bars in Port-en-Bessin to suit all tastes and budgets. Bayeux has plenty to offer, the famous Bayeux Tapestry, cathedral, museums, markets and restaurants etc.
A lovely house in a very quiet area - I’m not sure if anyone actually got up and went to work in ththe surrounding houses, if they did they were very quiet!
We did some lovely walks from the house and regularly walked in the town to buy croissants and pain au chocolate from the patisseries. We didn’t eat out due to food allergies but driving about was easier than I thought and history in the area was amazing to see first hand.
The house is very set up for English speakers with a uk freesat box making us forget we weren’t at home but making us feel at home.
My only advice - Take your own teabags.
Thank you for your kind comments. We are pleased that you enjoyed your holiday and the house was comfortable for you. Sue
A lovely property, with everything we needed. Set in a very quiet part of the Town but with in walking distance of the Port. Great location for travelling throughout Normandy.
Felt like a home from home, the board games were great, we spent a couple of evenings playing games with the children which we seldom get chance to do at home.
I would definitely recommend. Sue responded quickly to my enquiries and all transactions went smoothly.
Thank you for your kind comments. We are also lucky to have such good caretakers to make things run smoothly. We are pleased that you had such a lovely holiday.
Great location and excellent accommodation, very quiet. Would highly recommend as booking is very easy and communication with the owner is swift making payment easy. The key safe system is an excellent idea, making arrival and departure times easy without worrying about meeting a key holder at set times. The house was cosy and very much home from home with English kitchen appliances making everything easy. FIRST CLASS.
Lovely stay nice safe area and children played in the garden . A nice walk into the local village and lots to see. Great base for d day tours.
