You know you’re going to get a good night’s sleep the moment you walk through the door of this enormous bedroom and see the stunningly ornate super king size bed with its crisp white bedding and generous pillows. This room certainly has the wow factor! We've been told by one guest that sleeping in this bed was “like sleeping on a fluffy cloud”.

There is a comfy chair and also a chaise longue for you to stretch out and relax on if you want to sit and read a good book, and for you gadget lovers there is a 50 inch plasma screen with dvd player and an iPod/iPhone dock.

Take in a show or have a flutter at the beautiful casino and on some Fridays in the summer you can dine in style as you watch the Night Trotting at Cabourg, a very special evening indeed. Trotting is very popular in Normandy and you can often see the horses being exercised along Omaha beach. Plan in advance and make the most of your stay, and maybe one stay won't be enough!
You’ll be spoilt for choice of things to do in Normandy. The most famous “must see” things are the many poignant WWII landing beaches and the world famous Bayeux Tapestry that tells the story of William the Conqueror and the Battle of Hastings. The landing beaches stretch from the British beaches and Mulberry Harbour at Arromanches to our nearest beach, Omaha beach and on towards Cherbourg. Omaha beach is a 5 minute drive from Le Pressoir and on the hill behind the beach is the very impressive American Cemetery, museum, the gardens there are a tranquil place to remember those that lost their lives on the beaches below.

The gite was light and spacious. The bed was large and very comfortable. We like cook and had everything we needed there, including a dishwasher. Shu and Rob are friendly, attentive and helpful hosts.
The situation of the gites and surrounding area make it easy to get around and see beautiful towns, villages, historical and war sites and landing beaches. So many things to do - Bayeux and its' tapestry, Caen for market, shops and abbeys, Honfleur for boats and lunch and so on. The gite is surrounded by pretty country lanes that are great to run or walk in.
We hope to go back & would definitely recommend this accommodation. It is one of the best holiday rentals we have stayed in.
Thank you so much for your lovely review.

You certainly did pack a lot of things in to your stay - I was exhausted just hearing all about them all.
We were so happy that the weather was so good while you were with us and we were able to throw one of our Guest BBQs with Rob's homemade burgers and were able to sit outside until late into the evening having wonderful conversations - and the fact our Owl did a fly by made it extra special.
