About this property

Boutique Hotel meets French rural charm. This cottage/gite is in a coastal setting.

Set in the rolling Normandy countryside, Gite Renoir is in a rural setting and is one of 3 gites within an old farm courtyard, with its ancient cider press still in place.

The gardens are mostly communal within the large courtyard with each gite having a lawned area with furniture - the lawn of Gite Renoir is directly outside the gite with 4 chairs and a table so you can sit and have your morning coffee or a drink in the evening after a day out exploring beautiful Normandie.

There is a heated swimming pool in the middle of the courtyard with sun loungers around the pool terrace.
A hot tub is available for use in the evenings.
Pool towels and pool safe drinks glasses are provided.

Le Pressoir gives you a delightful feeling of living in a world free of mayhem and complication but also has that essential dash of style and luxury. You may be on holiday but that doesn’t mean you have to rough it! Gîte Renoir is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom gite that is light and airy with patio doors overlooking the lawned garden where there is plenty of communal space to socialise or separate areas if you prefer to be alone. It is furnished cleanly and sympathetically with oak floors, some exposed stone walls and classic French style beds and bed linen.

The open plan downstairs has a fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, plenty of crockery and glasses, and a dining area with a large table and 4 chairs. The table can be extended and two additional chairs are available if you need them.

Ideal for couples and families alike, the lounge area has 2 sofas and a large flat screen tv and free wi-fi. Plus there is a small downstairs toilet. A baby chair, changing table and cot are available if needed and a laundry room is also available to use if you wish.

Night Trotting at Cabourg and more. Beautiful gite with fantastic pool and hot tub. The gite is a real
home from home with everything you could possibly need provided for you. The owners are extremely thoughtful and kind, one morning we had freshly picked blackberries left for us for breakfast. Great welcome basket with the all important French wine and other essentials. Wonderful gite, wonderful holiday. Highly recommended. Gite was exactly as described and more, extremely clean, comfortable beds and beautifully furnished. I would recommend to a friend or family and would stay again. Thank you Shu and Rob.

Owner response

Thank you so much Rebecca for your glowing review.
It doesn't get any better than a 10 out of 10 rating and we're absolutely delighted to hear you had a good time here and that you liked the little extra touches like the breakfast blackberries.
We loved meeting you all and throughly enjoyed our chats and drinks around the firepit on your last evening and were very impressed that Richard braved the local Calvados!
Best Wishes to you all and we hope to see you again next year.

Amazing facilities and fabulous hosts! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Le Pressoir to all I know for a truly well cared for self catering Gite holiday. Gite Renoir was immaculate, stocked with absolutely everything you need & want. It's beautifully put together with care and consideration making it incredibly pretty visually but just as importantly a useable family friendly space where you can relax and simply enjoy yourself! Shu & Rob are warm and friendly and couldn't be more helpful to us all during our stay! A holiday booked at Le Pressoir will never be anything less than great so book with complete confidence! ❤

Another fantastic holiday at the fantastic Le Pressoir.
The gite is a lovely home from home with everything you need for a very relaxed stay, and if there is anything that isn't provided then the fantastic hosts will endeavour to provide you with anything you need.
The hot tub and pool are just an added bonus to what is already the perfect place to spend a holiday .
This was our 3rd visit, our sons first ....and we are already looking forward to a return visit with my parents .

10/ 10 across the board, I can't recommend this place enough .

Owner response

Wow, thank you Caroline for your "10 out of 10 across the board" rating.
We're absolutely delighted that you had such a good time again, it's lovely to hear that we still receive a 10 out of 10 rating on your 3rd visit and that the pool and hot tub were as appealing as ever. It was great to meet Josh and we're already counting down the days until we see you next year for your 4th stay and to meet your parents for their first stay with us in the other gite.
Best Wishes

The advert for Gite Renoir and its two neighbouring gites perfectly describes the property and the ambience of the place. Beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean, it really is the ideal place to unwind and relax, although it is also very close to the N13, Bayeux and the D-Day invasion beaches. Shu and Rob, the owners, really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, nothing was too much trouble. The pool is great for a swim first thing in the morning or to cool off after a warm day exploring, and the hot tub is available for use at any time.
Among the great places we visited are the Airborne Museum in Ste-Mere-Eglise, Maisy Battery, Bayeux Cathedral, Arromanches and Honfleur. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and unique place to stay in Normandy, and if we could give Gite Renoir 11 out of 10 across the board, we would!

Owner response

We love how you end your review by saying "If we could give Gite Renoir 11 out of 10 across the board, we would!" Wow! Praise doesn't come any better than that, thank you.
