We had a very enjoyable week. The children enjoyed the pool every day which was rarely busy even in August! The pool was also open until 1945 and later on Thursdays. The site is steep but worth it for the amazing views and the lodges are spaced well so you have more privacy than you typically get on UK sites. The owner was very quick and helpful with emailed questions and the cabin had everything we needed for family of 6 to self cater some of the time. Lots to do in local area - we visited Granville and the Luge at Souleuvre and Mont St Michel which is amazing. Very good value for money - thank you!
I’m really glad you enjoyed your stay!
You’re most welcome when you’re ready for your next trip!
The booking & payment was very straightforward with clear instructions on how to get to the property & the entry process. We travelled from Newhaven to Dieppe & we decided to take the toll road route to get down to the property. This route took longer than on the way back when we didn't use the toll roads!
When we arrived at the cabin we had easy parking outside & the views were amazing overlooking the lake. We spent every night on the verander enjoying the views with the nice long & warm evenings.
I had forgotten some milk & it was a little late to get some from the town so the caretaker of the site very kindly brought us some the next day.
The site had a nice atmosphere & although fairly busy it was very quiet.
The cabin was very comfortable & spacious with all the mod cons.
The pool was lovely especially with the very hot weather we had. We played crazy golf & boules every evening with the equipment supplied.
The lake was very easy to get to & we had a sail on the lake which was great & easy to hire a hobby cat & quite reasonably priced. We also managed a walk around the lake. You can also fish on the lake but unfortunately not swim in it! (Officially!)
The seaside at Granville was about an hour away & they have a seawater tidal swimming pool which was nice as the tide went along way out.
We also had a trip to Mont San Michelle which is well worth a visit if you've never been.
We would definitely like to come back for another relaxing break.
Thanks so much for sharing loads of useful information re the route etc.
I am so glad you enjoyed the cabin, and some hot weather! Thanks for leaving everything in order. Hope to welcome you back on another occasion in the future.
The Cabin was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our short holiday. It was easy to find and the setting and views are beautiful. The swimming pool provided great entertainment and the Cabin is well situated for exploring Normandy and Brittany. We would recommend the Normandie Luge and enjoyed visiting William the Conqueror's castle in Caen. The owner communicated quickly and was extremely helpful and friendly and I would certainly recommend the Cabin anyone I knew looking for holiday accommodation in Normandy . Many thanks for a fantastic service.
So glad that you enjoyed the cabin and had a lovely holiday! Thank you so much for leaving everything in brilliant order. Hope that you may be able to visit again at some point in the future.
The Cabin is a fantastic holiday retreat that myself and my family thoroughly enjoyed. The cabin has everything that you could need for a relaxing stay. If you don't want to venture too far, you could easily spend a week sitting on the veranda taking in the beautiful view of the valley and lake below (probably best enjoyed with a glass of red in one hand!!). If you want an active holiday then the surrounding area is packed with activities with a golf course close at hand, a lake with sailing and no end of walks in beautiful surroundings. Vire is only a few minutes drive away and has all the shops, bars and restaurants that you could need. The region is packed with things to do you will not have a spare minute. I have already recommended the cabin to everyone I have spoken to about it and look forward to our next visit!!
So glad you enjoyed your trip, thank you for your wonderful, informative review! We look forward to welcoming you back to the cabin, next time.
