Our peaceful Cottage is located between the pretty market towns of Sourdeval and Vire, close to the beautiful Lake Dathee and St Sever Forest. The house stands in 5 acres of Farmland, with an orchard, varied wildlife, including wild deer, beautiful views and four huge Walnut Trees. The property was renovated including a new kitchen in 2016
We do live on site so we are readily available with advice or assistance if needed. Whilst the cottage can be self-catering for private holidays, we also offer a continental breakfast or a cooked breakfast either in the cottage or at one of the outside seating areas. Dinner is also available on request, with soft drinks, beer or wine.
We grow our own seasonal vegetables and herbs which you are more than welcome to sample.
Whether you just want to get away from it all, enjoy beautiful landscapes, relax on golden sandy beaches, visit the many historical sites and towns around the area, or wish to have a full activity holiday, our house is the ideal base.

The kitchen has just been renovated and is fully equipped with all the appliances and utensils you will need to prepare meals.
The cottage has an L shape living/dining room with high ceilings, beams and a lovely staircase. Comfortable leather sofas and a dining table to seat up to six people, flat screen tv, dvd and a stone fire place.
Two double bedrooms, one with a king size bed the second with a double bed and further L shaped bedroom with twin beds and a play area.
Black and white tiled bathroom with a vanity unit, shower with body jets and wc here is also a separate wc.
Electric radiators and an open stone fire place.
Flat screen tv, dvd player, dvds, wi-fi, board games and toys.

|Why this location?||The farmhouse and cottage are situated between the pretty market towns of Sourdaval and Vire, close to the beautiful lake Dathee, Vire Gorges and Saint Sever Forest.The properties sit in five acres of grounds including an a cider orchard and a cider press wheel that has been retained as an outside table with stone chairs. A five minute drive will take you into the Center of Vire where there are plenty of restaurants, bars and sporting activities, including Aquavire, boat hire off road cycle paths, beautiful walks, rivers, extensive forests and local markets. Vire also has an 18 hole Municipal Golf Course that is very well maintained and overlooks Lac de la Dathee, here you can take part in water sports, go fishing or stroll around the 5km perimeter and enjoy the peace and quiet at one one the many picnic areas. The lake is bordered in parts by forest and also has a weir and a small waterfall. The location is ideally situated to visit Mont Saint Michel, Bayeux Tapestry & Granville|
