Studio Plein Ciel is a light and airy studio apartment for two people. The whole of the front wall is made of French windows allowing in a wonderful amount of natural daylight even on the dullest of days. There is a lovely south-facing balcony running the length of the apartment, planted up with summer flowers.
The studio is on the first floor and the building is accessed by a secure entryphone system. It is located in a quiet residential street with plenty of free and safe parking and only minutes walk from the main street, British Military cemetery and the cathedral. Bayeux is a small town and easily walkable so for those who choose to arrive by train we are happy to collect you from the station.
Guests can book the apartment for a minimum of 3 nights and can arrive on any day of the week between 2pm and 6.30pm.
We have provided an extremely comfortable double bed, settee and armchair along with a dining table and fully fitted kitchen area. The Saturday market is only a 5 minute walk from the apartment and there are plenty of great bars, cafés and restaurants closeby if you choose not to cook for yourselves.
The kitchen area is fitted with an oven/microwave and induction hob, a toaster, kettle and coffee machine, a sink, and a fridge with small ice box. There is a dining table and two large dining chairs by the doors to the balcony.
The living area has a comfortable large 2 seater settee and a club armchair along with a small coffee table and French TV.
The sleeping area provides a comfortable iron and brass double bed (190x140cm), two bedside tables and lamps.
The bathroom has been remodelled in 2017 to provide a new WC, sink and walk-n shower.
The property has radiators for heating.
There is a large balcony with a table and two chairs and pretty summer flower planting.
There is plenty of free street parking outside the apartment and less than a two minute walk is a large free car park.
The apartment is on the first floor so not suitable for guests in wheelchairs or who are unable to climb one easy-rising staircase.
We moved to Normandy fro SE England in 2003 and spent 13 years running an award winning B&B in the beautiful countryside of Manche, which we thoroughly enjoyed but due to health issues in 2015 we decided to throttle back a little, move to the coast and buy two holiday apartments for rental in Bayeux.

Visit the Bayeux tapestry museum to see the 950 year old tapestry, approximately 12 minute walk from the apartment.
50 miles/80 km of beaches stretching from Ouistreham in the east to Ste Mere Eglise in the west, covering the 5 famous landing beaches of Sword, Juno, Gold, Omaha and Utah. Omaha and Gold are the nearest to Bayeux, being only 10 minutes in a car.
