A stay at 115 brings puts you at the heart of the very best of Normandy; from walking to the charming port of Port en Bessin and enjoying its restaurants and views through to a drive into the beautiful medieval town of Bayeux with its shops, eateries, cathedral and UNESCO recognised Bayeux Tapestry. Add to that our location close to the key D-Day 1944 'must sees' with the haunting Omaha beach and fantastic Mulberry Harbour at Arromanches just a few minutes drive away.
We are so perfectly placed for all there is to see and do yet 115 is also a home from home; a place to relax, slow down for a while and just enjoy the Bessin countryside, Norman food and wine and time away from it all. And it's so easy to get there; just 1 hour from Cherbourg, 45 minutes from Ouistreham with both serviced by Brittany Ferries who offer our HFD guests a fantastic 20% discount on crossing.
All of this led us to 115 and we would love to share this wonderful place with us on your holiday.
Located on the prestigious Golf Omaha complex, we have a prime south-west facing location; a proper sun-trap with open views to the golf course and Bessin countryside yet so very close to the local amenities and all that the wider Normandy has to offer.
Light, airy and tastefully decorated throughout, 115 is furnished with luxury and relaxation in mind. Sleeping up to 5 it has one double bedded room and one room with a single and bunk beds. With a family bathroom, downstairs toilet and heated towel rail we also provide all towels and linen in the price .... except for the beach towels you will need to enjoy one of the three on site pools.
The site includes 2 large outdoor heated pools (open peak season) and an indoor pool and sauna (open April to mid November). In addition, you have access to the outdoors childrens play area as well as an indoor soft play area, pool table and Play-Stations. We have also provided a range of outdoor sports equipment in our outside storage area.
We provide everything for you to enjoy your time at 115 from outside table, chairs and sun loungers through to dvd player, a range of English language dvds, books and Bose Bluetooth speaker.
Really little ones are very welcome too; though 115 has a stair-gate, you'll need to bring your own cot, high-chair and all the other gear we know from experience you'll need!
Our rules are few in number; in the interests of all our guests very strictly no pets, no smoking and all male groups by prior agreement only.
Want to know more about 115? Read guest comments, see lots more photos and get to find out what's happening when then go to our Facebook page;
So, if you are thinking of Normandy for a holiday then why not enjoy everything 115 has to offer; relaxed living, facilities that are second to none and a location that puts you right at the heart of the very best Normandy has to offer.
The small galley kitchen is well equipped with ceramic hob, microwave/grill (no oven), dishwasher, kettle, toaster and a washing machine. There is a large Fridge/Freezer for those Norman essentials too.
We provide all crockery and quality accessories; this includes numerous wine glasses but unfortunately we don't provide the wine!!
A cloaks cupboard has an iron and ironing board and a clothes airer is stored in the outside storage area.
The open-plan living area has 6 leather dining chairs and table.
Our stylish lounge/diner allows you to sit back, relax but still to open the double patio doors and enjoy the late evening sun and view to the open fields.
Alongside the large flat-screen TV, DVD player and Bose Bluetooth speaker comes a range of English language books, guides and DVDs. We also know from our own holidays here with our children that sometimes the countryside is just not enough for them and there are numerous childrens' games in the lounge area and outside storage area allowing you to relax too!
The large double bedroom has a double bed, quality mattress a hairdryer and ample storage space whilst the second bedroom has a single bed and bunk beds (suitable for adults). There is plenty of space for a travel cot but that is not provided.
The landing has an integral stargaze and additional storage area.
Unlike many similar properties, your stay will include all linen and cleaning costs as standard. This includes bed linen and bath towels ... but not beach towels for when the normandy weather does draw you towards the pools!
The family bathroom has a bath, above bath shower unit plus screen, toilet, hand basin, storage and a heated towel rail. The downstairs toilet has a toilet and hand basin.
Normandy enjoys slightly warmer weather than at home but, like here, can be colder and wetter than we'd like! The heaters in all of the main rooms are very effective if rarely needed in peak season.
We love the normandy countryside and enjoy sitting on the patio and watching the world go by, stargazing or just enjoying Kir, Calvados and the very best Norman food. So, there are blankets to help you get the most out of the evenings or you can retire to the lounge where we have a large flat screen TV, DVD player and a range of English DVDs, book and games.
Wi-fi is available at guests cost and there are a range of plans available from high-speed, multiple devices through to lower-cost but slower bandwidth plans.
115 is a very special place and our location means you have access to all of the site facilities but benefit form your own quiet, well screened South-West facing terrace where you have uninterrupted views to open countryside.
We provide patio table & chairs, sun loungers and a range of outdoor games.
We have dedicated car parking for one vehicle just a minutes walk from the house. Luggage trolleys are available. Guests may park on-site but in peak season such parking is in short supply and access to the site is controlled by a barrier.
115 has its own storage area suitable for bikes and golf clubs etc.
Little ones are very welcome though we do not provide high chairs or cots
It is a shame but 115 is unsuitable for wheelchairs.
There is good disabled access to the site and site facilities but the properties have stairs and so please do seek advice from us on accessibility before booking; we are always keen to help and advise if we can.
All male groups by prior agreement only.
where do you start with a place like 115! Our enviable location beats most holiday homes in the area by some margin. So, as well as the great location, for peak season you have access to two large outdoor heated pools (17m and 25m) and an indoor pool (20m). You just need to remember your own beach towels!
There is a kiddies splash pools, fenced outdoor play area as well as outdoor table tennis, volleyball and football.
Indoors you have a Playstation area, pool table and at reception you can pre-order baguettes, croissants etc.
Bike hire is available through Reception too.

|Why this location?||We are close to a lovely fishing port, Port en Bessin, with some fantastic restaurants yet we are surrounded by countryside with outstanding views of the Bessin.
At the same time we are within very easy reach of Bayeux and the D-Day landing beaches.
This really is the perfect spot for exploring and experiencing the very best of Normandy.
|Unique benefits of property||Located on a beautifully maintained 36-hole golf course and just a short walk from the lovely fishing port of Port en Bessin we are also just a 10 minute drive from Bayeux and the D-Day beaches.
Though sharing access to the indoor and outdoor pools and leisure amenities, 115 is individually furnished to a very high standard and benefits from a secluded south-west terrace with uninterrupted countryside views; guests enjoy a real luxury home feel and a wonderfully secluded spot but with easy access two large outdoor pools, a big indoor pool and sauna.
This is also a perfect place for families with the outdoor areas perfect for children of all ages and an indoor play area plus outdoor play area including swings, slides and table tennis.
115 is perfectly positioned for touring the D-Day beaches.
The haunting Omaha Beach is just a 5 minute drive away whilst the remains of the Mulberry Harbour and Gold Beach at Arromanches are an easy 10 minutes drive.
Further afield you can find Utah Beach, Ponte du Hoc, Juno and Sword Beaches. Pegasus Bridge are also within very easy driving distances. If you visit Pegasus Bridge do make the time to go to the Merville Battery too.
As for what's on your doorstep at 115, Port en Bessin itself was liberated on 7th June by British Commandos and has its own poignant history to tell. The area around the house and gold course is also famous for being the intersection of the US and British sectors and where troops from either side met and joined up late on the 7th June. Look for the detail in the house or Google it - really is worth finding out about the astonishing feat or British arms.
A wonderfully preserved medieval town, Bayeux is just a 10 minutes drive away. Famous for it's Tapestry and Bayeux Cathedral it also hosts two traditional markets each week and a large number of small independent shops and restaurants. The Saturday market is a real experience.
The Tapestry is a must though can get busy. Earlier or later in the day often means missing the coach parties.
You can lose yourself for a day in Bayeux - the Tapestry, Cathedral and shops are interspersed with many small shops and restaurants. Personally, I'd get up early on a Saturday and go the market; a true French market selling anything and everything.
Port en Bessin is a lively working port with a rich history, real character and a range of shops and restaurants. The tourist information office at the harbour mouth is well worth a stop-off at the start of your break as it has a mass of information on the Port and surrounding areas. We would recommend booking yourself into one of the Port walking tours which is a great way of understanding more of the history of the place. That said, sitting in one of the many harbour cafes is a great place to grab a baguette, a glass of wine or beer and just watching the world go by. The port has numerous restaurants, many of which serve fish fresh from the market. Our own favourites are Fleur de Sel and Le 47eme Brasserie. You'll need to book at Fleur de Sel well in advance as it is extremely popular with locals and tourists alike.
It was advertised as luxurious it felt abit better than basic not as nice as one we stayed at in brittany last year i also think it was over priced we met a gentleman that did his through hoseasons alot cheaper had i known hoseasons did i would have used them we did alot with them in the past cleaning was ok not brilliant we had a query at reception she was'nt very helpful bit rude indoor swimming pool was nice and warm ooutdoor table tennis had a puddle one side as there was a dip where you stand so not good i would recommend it but look for cheapest option
Thank you for your positive feedback.
We always welcome feedback and assure you that we will take your comments on board.
We would stress that though you can access other properties on the same site through Hoseasons/Pierres & Vacances these are differently furnished to a basic standard.
Our property is one of the few privately owned houses on the site and, as well as being in a prime location on the development, is furnished to a much higher standard. We also cater expressly for UK visitors providing a DVD player, English language DVDs, Bluetooth speaker and better furnishings throughout.
Importantly at our property all linen and cleaning costs are included in the price.
Thank you once again.
