A Romantic, Traditional, Luxurious French Home. This cottage/gite is in a rural setting.

A 16th Century stone house. Used as a barn for many years, then lovingly restored to high modern standards, while keeping that origional French rustic feel.



Kitchen and dining

Full kitchen facilities, with everything you would expect for modern living, including microwave, dishwasher, toaster, grill, oven, hob, fridge freezer and all cutlery and utensils to cater at home if you wish.
The kitchen has a table that seats 6, but there is also a seperate dining room that seats 12.....if you decide to entertain.

Living rooms

Huge lounge, with 3 large sofas, to crash out and relax. English TV, is in the lounge as is wifi, and there is a large selection of DVDs for any quet nights you may have in...As well as a well stocked book case.

There are various antiques around the house, to give the home an authentic feel.

4 double rooms and 1 twin room.
All the Double rooms come with tea and coffee making facilities, two of the double rooms have en suite and there is also a large family bathroom, with both shower and bath.
Three of the double roooms also have their own english tv system.
All bedrooms have hair dryers supplied.


There are 3 bathroms in the house.
A family bathroom, with both shower and bath, and two en suites. One has a bath and wet room, tolet and bidet, the other is a shower, toilet and bidet.


Heating in the lounge is provided bay a large log fire. Logs are stacked in the garage, which is only a short distance.
The fire, heats the lounge, and blows hot air into one of the larger bedrooms.
The other rooms, use standard, electric radiators, which are turned on as and when you feel the need.


In house, there is English tv, dvds, and books. Also wi-fi.
Locally there are so many places to explore.

Garden and outside

A private mainly lawn area, but with plenty of parking (Enugh for 8 cars) should you have guests.

A large gravel parking area, directly to the side of the house.

There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the garage.
There is also an ironing board and heavy duty iron on the premises.

Why this location? The property is in easy reach of the Uk....It has the most romantc feel to it, and it has been luxuriously furnished, with comfortable sofas, and some adorable antiques, as well as a a shabby chic feel. In addition to this, there is wifi and all the comforts of modern living
Unique benefits of property There is character in every inch and wall. None of the walls are straight and 300 years of age oozes from very room.

There is s much to do.

You will be staying, only 25 Miniutes from beautifl beaches, and Caen, the capital of Normandy, with its famous castle and Abbys, Also a huge market on a sunday morning. You will be close to Bayeux, home to the famous Tapestry, and also the Normandy landng beaches, Museums and Memorials. The world famous Le Mont St Michell is under 40 Mins away, and Jurque Zoo is less than 8klm. There are fantastic resturants and bars in the local villages, and Brocantes, and all kinds of sporting activities. The younger guests also have half an acre of lawn to play on.

We had a lovely break in this property. It is ideally situated to explore the Normandy region, easy to access from the major road network but tucked away in a lovely quiet hamlet.
After easy and prompt communication with the owner after booking, we were warmly welcomed by him on arrival.
There is loads of space in this property both inside and out, and it really does have everything you could possibly want in a holiday home. For the quality, size and location of the accommodation we consider it excellent value for money.
