|Why this location?||We always found it to be peaceful and ideal for trip's back to the uk to visit family.|
|Unique benefits of property||Our property is set in a rural area surrounded by apple orchards and dairy farms. The stone buildings are renovated to a high standard keeping many of the original features like wooden beams and French style stone fireplaces. The property is set in large mature gardens that have evolved over the years with a haven for birds, trees and shrubs.|
We very much enjoyed our stay at Jays/ Finches this summer. The main attraction is the setting - a large outdoor space of beautiful orchards, offering several different aspects in both sun and shade. The house can comfortably accommodate two families plus dogs. The location is good for towns such as Bagnoles D'Orne (fantastic outdoor pool and a Michelin starred restaurant - Manoir de Lys). The house is a 20 minute drive to St Hilaire with a good sized Leclerc supermarket and an indoor pool. I suspect that the town of Le Teilleul might have more going on outside of August as it was pretty quiet overall during our stay. If you have a dog, the veterinary clinic in Le Teilleul is very good value, should you need to get pet passports sorted. The Enchanted village, also within 35 minutes drive is a great venue for children with rides, bouncy castles etc for a very reasonable price.
Robin and Jean are very friendly, considerate hosts and they sorted out any issues we had promptly.
