Mews Cottage is situated in the grounds of a wonderful, informal Chateau, built in 1751 with a safe, secluded garden in 3 acres of grounds. It is ideally situated in lovely countryside, 10km from Cherbourg and only 30 minutes from superb gulf stream beaches opposite Jersey. Just 3km from a great boulangerie and 8km from a huge hypermarket.

Mews Cottage overlooks the main courtyard and is south west facing looking out on part of the large front garden and courtyard of the chateau. The building dates from 1751 and has many unusual features and plenty of space - giant oak beams, Douglas redwood floors, a Godin colonial woodburner and a private terrace.
The kitchen has a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle, pots, pans, cutlery and glasses.

Heart shaped lawn with rhododendrons and palm trees at the front. Informal grounds with bbq, tables and seating at the back. Copse one side and an orchard on the other. Two hectares in total. Lots of trees to climb with swings, ropes and hammocks.

Lovely setting for this rental, very atmospheric and definitely for anyone who wants an away from the madding crowds holiday. Local village boulangerie outstanding for morning croissants and daily 'naughty cakes'! Good area if you are interested in WW11 war graves - very poignant.
