Near to the St Lo Haras Nationale with famous show jumping and dressage. Coutances is known as the prettiest town with its famous Cathedral and 'Son et Lumiere' in the evenings. Start the Spring season with 'Jazz sous Les Pommiers' - jazz under the apple trees.
 
With long wide sandy beaches warmed by the gulf stream with little rock pools to explore. Beach sports include windsurfing. Nearby is a leisure centre with swimming pools and water shutes, tennis, golf, hiking, cycling, horse riding. Beautiful parks and gardens to discover. A maze at Coutances. The fabulous beaches and sand dunes at Agon and Agon-Coutainville have a number of sport activities. Sports include golf, go-carting, paintball, bowling, tennis, fun pleasure pools at St Lo. Sports complex at Coutances. Beautiful gardens to visit, museums and theatre. Historic Gothic Cathedral town of Coutances with 'Son et Lumiere' in the evenings. Many antique and bric-a-brac stores. Basse Normandie famous for it's restaurants. Try the lamb that has grazed on the local salt marshes and seafood specialities. Whether you enjoy fine dining or a simple bowl of moules et frites you will enjoy!

Agon-Coutainville long sandy beaches.Water sports.Restaurants.You can see where dozens of people "peche a la plage" (beach fishing) and farmers go out over the sands with their tractors to tend their crops.

Coutances a Lovely ancient town with its magnificent twin towered cathedral, shops, cafes and restaurants and beautiful floodlit gardens in summer. Saturday market day has stalls spread through the streets and squares below the Cathedral with the smell of delicious food cooking.

La Cle des Temps is a fascinating warehouse on the edge of Coutances selling second hand furniture and bric-a-brac. Prices are reduced every 4 weeks so look out for some bargains. Vide Greniers (Clear the Attics) are their equivalent of our carboot sales, where hundreds of stalls line the village streets and one is held nearly every Sunday morning.

When visiting Chateau Lorey my Husband and i were pleasantly surprised, The location was
beautiful and tranquil where it was easy to relax and unwind and we soon settled in and enjoyed our stay.
