The ultra-modern kitchen features, wooden worktops, double sink, dishwasher, combi cooker, large fridge-freezer, the very latest in stainless steel appliances, coffee-maker, kettle, toaster and microwave and all the pots, pans, crockery and utensils, which make meal preparation a pleasure. Adjacent are patio doors affording delightful views over the surrounding tranquil countryside.
Next to the kitchen is a wonderful dining area with traditional Normandy style solid oak table and chairs. The room has wi-fi internet access.

Living rooms

The lounge - superbly equipped with flat screen television (with UK channels!), dvd player, music centre, iPod & iPad docking station, toy box full of toys, books & jigsaws to keep them entertained and a host of games for those family nights at home and wi-fi. It is open and airy with cool summer colours in a chic French contemporary style with polished solid pine floors.

Bedrooms

The master bedroom has its own en suite - incorporating the latest ultra modern double sized walk-in power shower. The bedroom is of generous proportions with a king-sized bed. Original oak beams complement the country style chic decor and furnishings. Black-out blinds so you can sleep that little bit longer.
The second bedroom is also spacious and features exposed stone walls and oak beams to complement cool Mediterranean colours. Furnishings include 2 single antique pine beds plus cot, wardrobes & cupboards in the same style. Black-out blinds so they sleep that little bit longer

As with everything at La Mare Chappey, it has been designed to be "child-friendly" and safe, with a secure patio area - so no little escapes! The traditional stable door is ideal for letting in a cooling breeze, but again the little ones are secure with the bottom being closed.

Easy walking distances to the tiny Normandy village of Nehou with its welcoming bar and shop (known for its fresh baguettes and croissants!). Drive a few minutes to the beautifully preserved cobbled medieval town of Bricquebec, Normandy. Bricquebec boasts a good selection of shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, a historic chateau and bustling Monday-morning market, famous throughout the Normandy region for its diverse range of tantalising fresh produce. A few minutes in the other direction is Normandy's St-Sauveur-Le-Vicomte, which offers shops, bars and restaurants, together with its own canoeing centre - perfect for those who like splashing about in water on their holiday! Just 400m from the property is a forest adventure centre, special cycling and walking route where there was once an old railway line through Normandy.
