Clean and attractive traditonal 'long-built' stone farmouse situatated in the peaceful country and rural setting of Lengronne close to amenities and in an excellent area for site seeing and touring. Approximately 60 miles from Cherbourg or Caen (just over an hour).
The pretty, south-facing garden includes a pond and waterfall, and although fenced we would recommend parental supervision for young children.

|Why this location?||Having visited and enjoyed most regions in France it was always this region I wanted to return. It is steep in history and natural beauty, has lovely isolated sandy beaches and a quite rural backdrop that combines woodlands, marshlands and open fields and coastal clifftop walks.
|Unique benefits of property||The house dates back to the early 1800's and has many charming features of that era. One example is the tower by Gite entrance. Originally used as a barn for the storage of wheat, animal feeds and the occasional cattle the gite remained empty until restoration and conversion in 2012. It has a simple but unusual design benefiting from a spiral staircase leading to a balcony and bedrooms. There is a further staircase leading to the master bedroom with en-suit.|
Cathedral town of Countances (also Jazz festival). Bayeux Tapestry D-day landing beaches. Mont St Michel. Copper Centre of Villedieu les Poeles. Port of Granville. Market town of Gavray.
Beautiful gite in a wonderful rural location but still within easy reach of towns and villages. The accommodation was very spacious and clean and very well stocked. The owners were wonderful and very helpful and available when needed but invisible when not. I would highly recommend this accommodation. The beaches are within easy reach some of which are dog friendly. There is a great beach side quirky restaurant called "The Shack" nearby which is definitely worth a visit or two - which is located on a beach with oyster beds and this beach is dog friendly too. We went back several times. Granville is definitely worth visiting too espcially the old town. My only complaint which is not really a complaint as I understand the gite was rural is the WIFI is not great and very inconsistent inside the property however in the garden we were able to use the standard phone data roaming and WIFI with success. This may be more of a concern to some that others.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments. They mean a great deal to Migle and I. It was a pleasure to have you stay and hope to see you again sometime in the future.
A charming gite with a beautiful garden and friendly, helpful owners. It is ideally placed for exploring this picturesque region.
