We have a small working farm in a protected national park, within 5 minutes of two small, charming French villages and 5 minutes from a Norman castle which now houses over 30 pairs of nesting storks. We offer 3 different types of accommodation so guests can opt for complete privacy or enjoy the company of your hosts and other guests.
Our luxurious and traditional Mongolian Yurt is set in a private field on the farm, with its own bathroom and campsite kitchen (although breakfast is included and delivered to the Yurt). The Yurt has a king size four poster bed and 2 convertible sofas (so it sleeps 4 people perhaps 6).
There is a minimum stay of 2 nights (£65 per night and £400 for a week).
All linen and bedding are included.
We are 20 minutes from the D-Day landing beaches, Bayeux and Le Molay-Littry with lots of local antique fairs in the area.
Unlimited parking is available.
Everyone is welcome and no hidden charges.
Kitchen and dining facilities are available (inside / outside dining at your choice).
The Yurt is open plan inside - 18' diameter with 2 sofas and woodburning stove.
1 Queen Size bed and 2 convertible sofas provide comfortable sleeping arrangements for a maximum of 4 people (perhaps 6 at a sqeeze).
Private bathroom approximately 40m from the Yurt with electric shower and fully functioning loo! The bathroom is double skinned, fully insulated and warm all year round.
A roaring wood burning stove (wood included).
Games and Wifi available but the Yurt is off grid.
15 acres of farmland available to explore including cats, free range chickens, goats, horses at times, geese, picnic tables and barbecue facilities.
Unlimited parking on gravelled roads; with undercover parking available on request
Children (and adults) are welcome to visit the animals on the farm (chickens, goats, cats ) with one of the farmers. The eggs always need collecting, animals need feeding, walking and grooming and tractors need driving!

|Why this location?||Based in the heart of a protected national park with stunning views and amazing wildlife and we fell in love with the amazing Oak Trees on the farm. Close enough to the D Day beaches, towns and nightlife to enable guests to benefit from the tourist attractions but still enjoy a peaceful stay.
Lots of activities for children, families, couples, walkers, cyclists and bikers.
Metal detectorists always welcome but you may find that the WW2 artiiacts have already been found (so far mortar round bits, bullets (fired and whole), machete, MG42 barrel as well as buckles and other equipment).

Monet’s house and gardens in Giverny are well worth a visit. You can see the water lilies that inspired the painter and stroll through the absolutely stunning gardens that were Monet’s muse for so many of his well-known prices of art work
One particular Christmas Market in Saint-Lo has Santa Claus visiting to distribute sweets to all the children who visit. Fabulous market - definitely worth a visit!
Fabulous Frnch Zoos to visit with plenty of room for animals to roam. Lions can be heard from anywhere in the zoo, loads of penguins and children (and adults) can visit the animal petting zoo...
