Add to your list a visit to Mont St Michele (one of the most visited places in France) and perhaps a trip out to see the impressive Bayeux Tapestry.
Alternatively, how about a visit to one of the most highly profiled National Stud Farms in France, a few days out on any of the great Golf Courses in our area and not forgetting the children, a mixture of theme and activity parks, zoos and other places of interest all for the whole family to enjoy.
For the very adventurous, why not take the plunge at our local AJ Hackett Bungee Jumping venue. No visit to France would of course be complete without a visit to one or more of the many local town markets. Mingle amongst the locals and search out the very best produce that Norman agriculture can provide. Return with your bag of favourite French goodies, concoct your favourite dish and enjoy with a glass of flavour bursting wine. Sit back, relax with a little light French background music mixed with a very large slice of French life - what more could you want.
Saint Lo (10 minute drive) has many shops, cafes and fine restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. Saint Lo. paid a heavy price for the liberation of France (June-July 1944) with 95% of the town being destroyed. You can still see and walk around the castle walls and gardens. The local Saturday market is well worth visiting, if only to taste some of the local produce.
Just a few minutes’ drive down the road and for 360 days of the year you will find the quiet, sleepy village of Hebrecrevon with its supermarket, butcher and baker shops. Visit our Website (44normandygites.com) to find out what wakes the village up for the other 4 or 5 days of the year.

La petite saule was just as it was shown on the website. It was easy to find about 50 minutes from the ferry at Cherbourg. In a rural situation just off the D900 so was easy to access other places around The Manche area. A very large Le Clerc supermarket was about 6 kilometres away. 10 minute drive to open market at St Lo which was on most days.
The accommodation was very comfortable, cleanliness was of a very high standard. The owners Howard & Ioana were very welcoming and very attentive to any requirements we had. They were able to advise us on excursions around the area including timetables for ferry journeys to the Channel Islands . All in all we had a lovely holiday and would recommend it to our friends and family. Thinking about coming back with family next year depending on rate of exchange.
