We bought La Chouette in 2002 and after some years of great holidays and some renovations, we decided to let the house as a holiday home. We lived in Clermont Ferrand in the Auvergne before returning to England in 2013 and we currently live in south east England, with our three cats. We hope you have a great holiday, Laura & Jerome.

|Why this location?||We love the tranquility and space of La Chouette, surrounded by fields but not far from the beach so we get to enjoy the best of both. Normandy offers everything we love about France, great food, friendly people, and plenty of culture and history to experience.|

Pirou Plage is a beach on the western peninsula, about 25 minute drive away from La Chouette. It has sandy beaches with , easy parking, restaurants, facilities, sea pool and a life guard on duty. An excellent destination for a relaxed day by the sea.
My family and I enjoyed a wonderful 6 days here recently and would definitely come back. Easy to find in a beautiful location with only 1 immediate neighbour, the house is beautiful with everything we needed. We had our 2 young granddaughters with us and the gardens were perfect for them with so much space to run around and enjoy and the reassurance that all the space was totally enclosed. Bikes and games for us all to enjoy and wonderful walks nearby.
Inside the house you are welcomed by a typically French rural kitchen area, including log burner for the winter months, with a table big enough for our family of 6 with room to spare. The living area is a great size too, with tv, DVD player and plenty of dvds for all. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, with the 2 main bedrooms overlooking the fields and a single bedroom overlooking the lane.
I spoke with Laura, 1 of the owners, on a couple occasions with questions and they responded within an hour with the answers I needed.
Beautiful house in a beautiful location
