We moved to Normandy in March 2017 after spending years coming over on holidays and decided to make it our home.<br/>Between us we have many varied interests which happily fit in with the French and in particular Normandy lifestyle. We have a love of good food, countryside living, history, wine (and cidre), local events and are embracing all the new opportunities around us.

As anyone who has seen the opening of "Saving Private Ryan" will recognize the American Cemetery is a must see place if you are visiting Normandy. The museum is thought provoking and the cemetery itself is a reminder of the sacrifices made by many young men during D Day and the following campaign in Normandy.
The town of Bayeux is an excellent place for shopping, eating out or just having a stroll around its busy streets.
There are many places to eat with Norman cuisine being top of the list (if you like apples this is the place to be!)
Shops stock everything from antiques to fashion to some of the best bread and patisserie you will ever have.
The Bayeux tapestry is well worth a visit and the Cathedral is an amazing building which has stood for hundreds of years.
Just off the N13 near Isigny Sur Mer is the recently refurbished Victory museum, this is a must visit if you wish to learn about and see their excellent collection of artifacts and interactive displays.
They have on site refreshments available as well as both indoor and outdoor activities plus a well stock souvenir shop, well worth a visit.
Located about 25 minutes from us by car this famous beach is both thought provoking as well as being an excellent site for a family day by the beach.
Omaha Beach covers the villages of Collville Sur Mer, St Laurant and Vierville Sur Mer, there are a number of bunkers and memorials for those interested in military history but it has miles of sand for the kids to run around and enjoy themselves, well worth a days visit!
We had a very nice weeks break at Moon Cottage . Frank and Nicky were very friendly, hospitable hosts, nothing too much trouble. We were very grateful to them for the lovely welcome pack provided on our arrival. The cottage was nicely decorated and spotless. We enjoyed the wood burner and had a lovely fire each night as the weather was a bit cool. Situated close to St Lo and within an easy drive to all the D Day beaches and Bayeux 20 mins. We will definitely return.
