We are Christine and Neil Finch, we purchased La Hallotiere in February 2013. We previously lived in Carshalton, Surrey.
Neil was a London Fireman and Christine worked in Oncology. We consider ourselves very lucky indeed to have found a property in such a beautiful place. We fell in love with the wonderful views the property has, and the peace and quiet after such busy lives in London.
We are very proud of our Gites, and hope you will like them too.

|Why this location?||This is a brilliant base from which to visit the many and varied attractions of Normandy, WW2 sites, the Bayeux Tapestry, Mont St. Michel. The beaches are very safe for young children, very clean and very beautiful.|
|Unique benefits of property||Our heated pool is very popular with guests, especially after a day our visiting one of the sites. Colombage has its own private garden for you to have bbqs which we provide or just sit and read or look at the wonderful view.|
Mont St. Michel is approximately an hour from La Hallotiere, it is near the City of Avranches. It is a magical island topped by a gravity defying medieval monastery. Le Mont St. Michel is among France's most stunning sights. There is lots to see on the island, the abbey, the museums, the church, and lots of shops and restaurants to visit in between.
The tapestry at bayeux is a great way to get the kids interested in history. This is a very popular attraction for our guests.
Bayeux is a a large town on the Aurwe River, it has a medieval centre with cobbled streets, half timbered houses and a beautiful gothic cathedral Notre Dame. There are lots of shops and restaurants to visit too.
We have visited this zoo on many occasions when our grand children come to stay. It has lions and tigers, gibbons, lemurs giraffes penguins, lovely gardens and lots more to do for the children.
This a a restaurant/bar we frequent quite often. We send all our guests here and they love it. Most of them return for a further visit.
The food is great and good value, the atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming.
This is an old mill in a beautiful setting. The staff are wonderful and really look after you. In the summer you can eat inside or outside on the terrace.
You will find this restaurant in the Michelin Guide
Lunch starts at 17 euros and evening meal starts at 39 euros
We use Le Moulin for special occasions as it is rather special.
It is only 3 km from La Hallotiere
