The Old Dairy has a king size double bedroom, a twin room and a large family room with a further king size double and two single beds. It also has a shower room and an en suite bathroom in the large family room.
The Old Dairy is a beautifully converted gite in a stunning 17th century property. Set in over 2 acres of private land with fabulous views of the Normandy countryside, but just a 5 minute walk to the village, with its excellent bakery and bar/restaurant. Easy driving distance from airports and ferry ports, beaches, Mont-St-Michel and historic towns of Normandy, Brittany and the Loire.
Activities: Golden sandy beaches 40 minutes, swimming complex 10 minutes, horse riding, fishing, karting. There is an aquapark within 20 minutes and golf courses are also easily drivable.



Kitchen and dining

The kitchen has a large fridge, a freezer, range oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dining area. The dining table seats 10.

Living rooms

The living area has 2 comfy sofas, tv and dvd player and dvds to hire free of charge.


The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with local artisanal furniture. The master bedrooms have lovely king size oak sleigh beds, and we use light coloured cotton bedding. The twin room has 2 single beds and a view out to the gardens at the rear of the house.


A shower room and an en suite bathroom in the large family room.

Garden and outside

The gite benefits from large, secluded, child-friendly grounds, well away from any roads. From time to time there are also sheep and chickens (in fenced off areas). We also have BBQs and outdoor games to keep kids entertained such as boules, frisbees, bats and balls, footballs etc.

There is a large driveway for parking at the front of the property.

Location and Activities

Five minutes walk from the village where you can buy fresh bread and pastries from the excellent bakery. There is also a bar/restaurant, hair salon and a beautiful church.


No trip would be complete without a visit to the world famous Mont-St-Michel, which is just 30 minutes from the property. The ancient rock formation, with abbey and fascinating architecture is set out to sea and accessed by a causeway, with plenty of parking next to the mount. The views are awesome and a visit is truly worthwhile.


Visit the waterfalls at Mortain, just 15 minutes away from our property.

There is a Bar/Brasserie/Tabac in the village and lots of good restaurants in the local town.

Sporting Activities

There is a 9 hole golf course within 30 minutes and superb links courses within an hour. For those with a nautical flare, there is sailing, windsurfing and sand yachting all along the coast, as well as horse riding at many stables close to Mont-st-Michel.

Towns to Visit

The beautiful towns of St Malo, Dinard, and Dinan in Brittany and Granville in Normandy make great days out, boasting beautiful beaches, walled towns and are steeped in history. There are also some wonderful shops, marinas and plenty to do for the kids.
